  1. Spotted a Gun Grey R32 GTR in Fyshwick. Then spotted a Midnight Purple R33 GTR coming off Dairy Flat Road into Fyshwick not long ago.
  2. Whoops, sorry mate.

    Video Finally!

This car continues to be referred to as a 'Skyline' wasn't it to be known simply as 'GTR'? (like they did in Australia with the R32)
  4. I would depends on the cost. And I would prefer a 2 door which is your point (and Nissans).
  5. For interests sake, what mods does it have that they didn't mind? (Not that it's conclusive or consistent of Dickson to write a book on).
  6. Those Commodores have more to them than being merely reasonably quick and entertaining... They are cheap (in more ways than one - insurance, purchase price etc) and the owner is less likely to be so sentimental about them (if they are into Skylines), less likely to get vandalised, reliable and basically carefree all round. You don't have to be a knob who wants to make out it's something it's not to appreciate and get the best from the Aussie family car.
  7. The reason for that gets rather technical and can cause arguements on rotary forums But yes subsequently rotaries are strong on the exhaust side of things and make the power of relatively low boost from big turbos (compared to their piston counterparts).
  8. Not good at all. Sounds like you weren't at fault which is one thing. But the main thing is you are and the others involved are OK - which I am glad to hear.
  9. Sounded like you needed the CDI with the spark not up to all that fuel. Keen to see the on track result from such a beast.
  10. Saw a V35 yesterday! First time I'd seen one in the metal. Looked surprisingly good (not that I didn't expect it to look good, just a lot better/more road presence than I thought).
  11. True, and it is embaressing for the people with the 'cool' or trendy cars to say the least!
  12. Leg hump that sh!t. But seriously a commendable effort. Awesome stuff, makes me jealous - wish I had the balls to do such things to my car these days (pun intended ).
  13. I was going to say that's what I get, lucky to get 300kms out of 80 odd litres!! God it was expensive to run, otherwise a perfect cruiser. Should have got a thumper. Now that is a good steetable sized turbo for a 20B with decent top end. I had a T66 on an RX7 which was a good street turbo, made 300rwkW on 15psi came on full boost by 4.5k rpm and ran hard to 8k. Rotaries love big turbos.
  14. Hope the dirver and passangers are OK. Accidents are never cool.
  15. A lot of other things that are perishable and wear out over time... Time isn't kind to all sorts of parts to cars. Can happen with kms on them or not.
  16. Yeah I have seen a few that have been resprayed. They have often been done badly so is easy to pick (can see where different layers of paint begin and end).
  17. Not at all. Would be a good mid range turbo on a 20B (EDIT: Especially with the 1.00 exhaust housing). They can take massive huffers and be streetable. Love the Cosmo, awesome cars. Had one once - only had 220rwkW though (stock turbos and everything aside form exhaust & intake). Ran a 13.4 in the heavy bastard with a crapola launch then wheel spin (you get that with 20s) with the stock converter.
  18. Very tough. Wish my GTR had 500+hp at the wheels! EDIT: extra word.
  19. Mine is the same. Loud and intermitently so at idle (depending on what it is up to).
  20. Low km GTRs exist. Granted mine is a 1997 model but it only has 32k on it. Knowning who owned it since 1999 helps verify that though. If you are unsure check seats, steering wheel, handbrake, pedals etc for wear. It's pretty obvious when a car has done a lot of kms. Low km cars from Japan are around, I imported a 1985 RX7 with only 45k on it, was practically brand new under build up from being unused. You just have to be careful and know where to look. The one in the trader for $18.5k with 128k on it looks nice, tidy and honest.
  21. Understood a compliance plate doesn't make a car roadworthy, it makes it Australian compliant at the time the plate was fixed to the car. If they have to go over Dickson, why is there an 'establish' (ie. start registration in ACT - rather than transfer) tick box for authorised inspection stations to tick? I have registered 10+ cars in ACT from out of state through non-Dickson inspection stations, fingers crossed I don't get audited this time (not that I have anything to hide).
  22. It's a good feeling having plates eh. Weird what you say about the Dickson thing, mine didn't go over Dickson... I though having the (compliance) plate on the car was enough? Aside from everything else that constitutes a roadworthy car that is.
  23. What he said. But really, good work ladies.

    Topgear: 2007 Gt-r

When's the Tokyo Motor Show? Apparently a working concept is to be revealed there. Can't wait! (If it's true)
  25. Spotted a few out today: 1. Spotted a tough looking/sounding Sonic Silver R33 GTR turning off Northbourne down towards Moore street at abou 5.05pm. Had white rims. 2. At about the same time spotted a white R32 GTR heading down Northbourne. Also had white wheels. 3. Spotted and followed in my GTR a white R33 GTST down Kings Ave while heading to the gym - looked nice. Had a cannon (like most do).
