  1. Tough, very tough. And who was it that started the thread about Skylines being slow?!
  2. You would hope people would e level headed and not so ignorant though! :sorcerer: And I think people have displayed that. Having driven the newest model MX5 I have to say it was a lot of fun too, also being RWD is a bonus... but getting over their image is another thing.

What was the fastest and most powerful car in 1989? F40, Countach, Ruf Porsches and the 959 come to mind - for Supercars. The GTR was absolutely awesome for its time and the money at $110k in Australia. What do people think the equivilent is these days, $180k? It has to be as good as a 911 turbo in all ways, the R32 was a very usuable car for its power and performance. But by 1993 the R32 had the S6 RX7 to contend with, which was within 10ths around the track (granted the GTR had bad tyres then), but the RX7 wasn't as easy to live with as the GTR. Although it was a beautiful looking thing (the RX7). When HSV GTSs have magnetic ride and are ready for the 427ci LS7 which runs 11.9s in the C6 Vette, the next GTR better be good!
  4. Have to say rotaries rock. But to be quick in a newish one it has to be turbo (aside from RX8 which is too pricy). Hondas unreliable? My parent's had one and in 180,000kms not one single thing went wrong, same as everyone I know that has had a Honda (3 people). But like any car things can go pear shaped.
  5. Call Shannons or try justinsuranceservices.com.au. There's also Torque, Vigil and Famous that may be able to help. Ring around and be polite to the person on the phone, there's always other options.
  6. Fair call, there's plenty of room in the back of my car. :sorcerer: Your car looks incredible with those rims (I want them!!!), can you direct me to more pics please?

At that price point it is the specs that will make it or break it, very true. The R32 was a ground breaking car and the new one needs to be too in this very competitive world of performance cars. It needs to be incredibly good to continue the GTR legacy.
  8. RIP Mark Porter. And good on Lowndes for the win, couldn't be a more fitting winner for PB. It's not about the brand, it's about the man and that's why Lowndes was the fitting winner.
  9. Integra Type R is the go if you can afford it. Great cars. Non-turbo Skylines are nice, but not a purposeful, nor quick, as a Type R.
  10. Spotted a silver R32 GTST parked in Civic. Had black rims, looked sweet. Also spotted a white R33 GTST parked in the same carpark, think it had white rims. Also looked sweet.
  11. They still around? I called them for a quote a while ago and they said they were looking at changing underwriters so couldn't provide one.
  12. Yeah I'm not sure I've heard a bad claim story about Shannons word-of-mouth or otherwise.
  13. Very nice. I've never seen it!
  14. Quallity pics, nice setting and cars looks sweet.
  15. How does it get to that stage? Damn good thing you noticed!
  16. Bloody tragic. Such a beautiful car too.
  17. I've done near 1000kms in my car over the last few weeks around the Civic, Inner North Inner South area and no one has spotted me either.
  18. What so dodgy about them? I had a not at fault accident with them and claim went through easy as! EDIT: Not with my Skyline though.
  19. Sorry meant on the roads specifically. I have spoken to Nik's brother before (can't remember his name) before and know another bloke with a silver one, just meant driving around.
  20. I've seen only one since buying mine! But a few R34s, weird seeing more of them than the R33s.
  21. I would love one in the garage with my '33... a replica will do.
  22. I'm a Z Tune goupie. Fark yeah.
  23. So how many of us (members of SAU) are there out there?
  24. EVLR34 met a tragic end... and so did its occupants. Made the national news.
  25. Awesome car, awesome photos. Love the black, very tasteful... and god damn those photos are good.
