  1. Won't cause a problem..Have you increased the dwell for the coils? If you don't do that they will miss. They need 4 to 5 ms dwell. Stock is 2.5 and will cause a miss with decent boost. Voltage should be .45 closed to 4.5 (I think) open. But isn't really critical as the afm is the main load sensor.
  2. For an auto trans.
  3. No, there's not necessarily a problem with the iac as the screw will always bleed air, even if the solenoid is unplugged. You could unplug the solenoid but I don't expect anything to change when doing that.
  4. Nope. Don't need one.
  5. I mean a difference between the rb30 and 25 and 26 water pump mounting? Same same. OK just realised that's for a different nissan engine. Looks very rb at first glance. Simon s14 set up an electric pump on his 2630 , I think it was a Davies Craig.
  6. Handbrake does that though if you need control like you mentioned. Which is pretty much never in auto. How many people drive scrapers onto floats? What is a scraper?
  7. Get a stock one.
  8. Is there a difference?
  9. Cool. It still is an r 200 diff. Now with a 2 way center.
  10. Air will always rum through that pipe as that's where the idle adjust screw is. So the throttle should be 100 percent shut and the air bypasses through there even when the Iac valve is shut. Really sounds like the throttle isn't shut enough for the ecu to be happy. Is is adjustable at all? I would adjust the idle screw to see if you can drop the idle enough, but really before doing anything I would be pressure testing for leaks. Then look into making the throttle close more, maybe by filing the stop down or something if it's not adjustable. Glad some progress is being made.
  11. Put a wire between the connections at the base of the relay to pretend it's the relay.
  12. Even based on his flat battery volt test?
  13. Right foot unless your an idiot. Exception for stalling up at drags and doing burnouts.
  14. http://www.billzilla.org/lsdoptions.jpg Cos I a m Feeling helpful.
  15. Looks like a two way to me. Is there even a difference in price between a 1.5 and 2 way?
  16. Check that bridging the fuel pump relay turns on the pump.
  17. Or Google the difference and figure it out yourself rather than take more photos.
  18. Why didn't you just ask the guy that failed it?
  19. Hectic bov noises are a high priority for some!
  20. Fair enough. So just to clarify I seriously doubt anything is wrong with the ecu or tps. The main thing you have changed that will upset the ecu Is the throttle body. Maybe the ecu sees alot of air running through the engine even though the tps is at .4 volts and doesnt believe the car is at idle. Can't you look at the idle control valve duty cycle? I bet it's really low, or off all together. I'm betting it's the throttle, assuming you have no leaks, but if you choose to ignore that it's cool with me. Email matt at nistune and ask him what conditions have to be met for the idle flag to be raised. We know that the voltage is one, maybe there are more.
  21. Did you change the throttle body I the process? If you did, it could be allowing more air at idle, so you will have to sort that out also to get it to idle nicely.
  22. So set it to .4
  23. Cos people like to start threads that are either easily answered or already answered. Or spend ages writing stuff only to eventually actually look at the car and find a blown fuse or popped hose in 40 seconds.
  24. Would pay to get the mixtures checked out. Obviously dropping the fuel pressure reduces fuel flow. Wouldn't want to melt pistons due to running lean.
