Jap spec R31? Got a pic of the tailights?

Hi, My car has the Vi-pec plug-in (R34 GTR). I can confirm, relay was needed for air-con. Injector duty does not work. Not sure if its an issue just with mine but Throttle on the MFD only detects to 48%. Looks like its only getting half the signal it needs. I've tried the MFD recalibration but it does not work. The car runs very well apart from that.

While nistune will sort u out for less, Vipec is MAP so one day if you decide to make major changes, its the way to go.

If you are going off the stock MFD, can you tell what it reads as idle? Have a listen at idle in the engine bay for hissing too. Theres a thin vacuum hose that goes from the rear of the engine to the sensor pickup near the driver side strut tower. Have a feel for leaks. Mine split ever so slightly near the join. Symptom was almost no vacuum on the boost gauge and had the same issue when giving a slight boot. You would also occassionally see a bit more fuel in your exhaust.

I have a similar setup to Bakes and get full boost at 4500rpm (tuned by Godzilla Motorsport).

Hi, For wheels, remember that certain sizes dictate specific tyres. Go for something easily available both for street tyres or semi slicks (if you go that path). 18" is a good size. Width is completely up to you. For exhaust, make sure you try and get something legal. Saves you in the long run. As for dumps, read up on split vs bell shaped dump pipes. For pods, theres a huge selection. Justjap now has sheilds in aluminium and carbo for reasonable prices. I'm assuming by boost gauge you're referring to boost controller. Plenty out there now (Turbosmart and HKS now have street models). As for ECU, Power FC has always been a standard but there are others now depending on long term goals. Look around at ViPec, Haltech and even Nistune.
