  1. PM me if the sale falls through
  2. Do you need it temporarily or permanently?
  3. Ah well. If you do have cash left over, an SSD is awesome for your OS and key applications if you have $$ left over. I got one for my gaming rig since I didn't have enough for an upgrade and holy moly!
  4. Would u consider freenas as an OS? Very lightweight if all you are doing is storage.
  5. Pod to piping adaptor for AFM removal. There is generally only one adaptor from HKS. Better yet, pod to turbo for GTR's.
  6. smithers, have you driven and one or ridden in one? That would be the first thing to do. You may find that the car you test or get will already have some of the basics done like exhaust and boost restrictor removed and that might meet your immediate needs. Power figures (and torque for that matter) are just numbers. People have different preferences around the feel of the car, response and top end power. Read the -5 or -7's thread for some great insight. From what I drove prior to getting mine, I found the GTR a little slow at the bottom end but thats just the different delivery from what I was used to. I came from a GT-T with high flow, front mount and power fc tuned for response. The car I tested was bog stock but dated (mileage wise). I ended up importing something with lower kms and some tasteful mods. If you have any other questions, let me know
  7. Spotted a 35R being talked to by the rozzers on Klumpp Rd
  8. Apart from the importer you deal with, from what I went through and was told, it also comes down to the supplier on the other end. I got my car via my importer from Global Auto: http://www.global-auto.ne.jp/ and was very happy. Everything was as per their specs.
  9. Hooray, another MNP!
  10. Spotted BECKS leaving the city and then another vic plates GTT following on the motorway
  11. Sorry I don't have my car at the moment but from memory- Oil temp - around 90-100 Water temp - around 90 Exhaust temp - around 600 degrees - up to 890 after some belting Imjector duty at peak - Can't see anymore due to ViPec but didnt go over 80% what peak boost you get - Used to get 1 bar with just exhaust pods and stock turbo's. Oil Pressure used to go to around 6-7.
  12. If you are really in a bind and need to borrow a stock airbox and can fit it yourself, let me know.
  13. Cool! Another Choy!
  14. I reckon save yourself the trouble - buy Hannah some jewellery and get something properly fast. I went the E46. Theres a blown one that comes into work that sounds nuts!
  15. You can try Meguiares PlastX as well
  16. You're lucky with all of that. Only things I have are manuals for the Factory Sat Nav (if fitted) and its CD playing stuff.
  17. Possibly. Its quite easy to get to the pump on a GTT. Not the case with GTRs though. I noticed that about 50%, the gauge was accurate then once I hit half, it was yo-yo mode. I just had to rely on the trip kms. Then I put the GTR pump in and must have solved it at the same time.
  18. I had this in mine. You'll need the pull your fuel pump out and just make sure nothing has been dislodged. I happen to replace my pump at the same time (upgrade) and all was good.
  19. Hmmn, I'll have to look at mine too...
  20. I have your answer! Its a pebble stuck behind your brake disc and the backing plate. If not, it could be stuck in the edges (little vent holes) of the disc. Try flushing with a hose on its own. If not, get a screwdriver and flex the back plate a little. The pebble might drop on its own. If not, hose while bending the back plate slightly.
  21. +1 to wanting to know what you weren't happy with. My Vipec is running perfectly and it was tuned by Mark...
  22. Has anyone compared boost response of -5's on a stock motor againts different engine rebuild kits like the HKS and Tomei 2.8L or even different boreing setups? Apart from all of the other supporting mods- cooling, fuel delivery, tune, cams. If someone wanted to stick with -5's, are the increased displacement kits the way to go for getting them much more responsive?
  23. Hi, I had the stock ECU and changed to Vipec to suit my mods. I did have a Power FC (no d-jetro) on my GTT. Certainly with the vi-pec the car drives like its standard (smoothness wise), seems to cope with different temps, cold starts, humid days much nicer than my Power FC did. The tune also gives me surprisingly good fuel economy for a GTR anyway. I didn't have great economy in by GTT... could have been the tune though. Damien
