  1. heh its great to see all these S13s poping up, i have never bothered putting mine up but may as well. Flavor of the Day! Started life as a auto 180 fresh off the boat a few years back.. now its track only. Fairly basic lot of mods, but its good for 220 at the wheels. 28-60rs cams HKS 264s PFC 555's Z32AFM Big Oil cooler 5 Stud with 324mm's on the front garbage exedy clutch HSD's all round.. bunch of different arms.. 17x9s all round Half Cage Racetech seat The motor has never been pulled apart and has done over 15 track days and just as many Deca days... Mind you most were on standard power but it certianly had the crap flogged out of it each and every time. the way it should be. touch wood. The engine bay looks like its actually a rally car in a coal mine so no pics. not that there is anything to see. Dutton 07
  2. Great footage and a big congrats on the win.
  3. that is 10 reserves. no more for now.
  4. was that you with 260kw? he flew off up the back straight!
  5. SAU Vic is a respectable car club. We dont care for stupids shit like drifting into brick walls. there are drift days, drag days and track days that are available to members. none of which are acceptable on cruises. i suggest your friend attends these as well. everyone is welcome, but we suggest you read your posts before posting stupid stuff.
  6. ill let you know shortly.. i want to get it corner weighted etc.. as for winton its a 39 with the old set up. i would love to get back to pi again this year and put a time down, i have no idea if it will be sub 51 but i knocked off 4 seconds at sandown so... i would imagine it would be similar there too. edit stop changing your post damnit hehe. i love my racetech, ill admit its not much different to the velo but it also isnt that much more expensive. HSDs are definantly on the chopping block though. as for turbo... ill wait and see..
  7. i call it as i see it. as for cams datto until someone can show me how much power that thing makes i dont care what times it does. i wont be surprised if it isnt much but its hard enough speculating when you do know what something actualy has where as cams could have 220kw give or take 50. as for the other dattos, what do they weigh? 800-900kg? i love sandown, it still scares me and i havent reached max anything there yet with the current set up. as you have proven, it is a track that will reward more power and in my mind that isnt a good basis for comparing lap times. that is my argument, i honestly dont care for being quick there. if i could manage a 22 or sub 20 that would be great but i know where to find them.. i know i can puch out much more competitive times elsewhere by using my hands, feet, brain and balls over my wallet.
  8. hehehe, i love it. Goliath seems to be intimidated by David all i can say it that chasing times at sandown is garbage. of course there is time to be made at each end of the drag strip, but really, of all the tracks in Vic its the worst to compare anything except power. I say we have our own 'Sthuperlap' at winton on the 18th july. Lets see who can do what then...
  9. thats sexist. and true.
  10. hehe funny you ask. if i remember right there was a set of endless and some hawks.. as they had been through a heat cycle i couldnt tell which was which. do you remember what you used last because they were still in the calipers? the mu's cracked in the same way after a deca which makes no sense at all, they never got hot there. I have no idea about the history of the ones that just cracked, they were a temporary fix that stayed on for sandown. They werent the best looking rotors to begin with... you may be onto something with the rears though, they arent anything special and seem to be lasting a fair while.. As for the ipra cars and their crazy times im still not sure what it is thats getting them round so quickly. im 99% a huge portian of that time comes down to geometry. its about time we did a test day at winton with a string kit and a temp gun. im sure there is a ton of time to be had there. Im interested to see what power can be made with a 36mm restrictor and unlimited boost also... i think we need to get cams 1600 on a real dyno.
  11. http://www.grafico.net.au/ Damian does great work. Worth a look.
  12. i cant see all of his sig. please tell me of this hilarity This is yet another cracked rotor... dont tell rowdy... it was his im pretty sure it had a hard life at some stage because it was warmed up very slowly and had a massive cool off period and cracked 10 minutes after the car had stopped... And thanks again Jack... Turned up at the right time
  13. noted. as for groups with schmicko or grassscotsman, they will be in different groups so...
  14. Entries are full.
  15. brisby, my car is so far from 22s its not funny. id love to know where 4 seconds is hiding... i can account for 2 secs max with the current set up. i will be back to give it a red hot go. Today was meant to be about shaking the car down and giving Mick some seat time so effectively i had one session with 2 clear flying laps.. i also had a whole session of datsuns and rexs spinning in front of me.. im much more keen to get back to PI to smash out a time there... corners ftw! Well done Dean with the 1.22. nearly had a RWD on top of the list for a change.
  16. 45 entries 5 spots left
  17. im not surprised that is cost you a fortune Dane, its a prick of a job. bit hard to see yours but im intrigued how you still have the slides. This is how we did mine. it took a lot longer than i thought it would. The front mounts were cut completely out and a new one was made to fit snug up to the tunnel and sil. we welded this in then made gussets up and welded them in also so its not going anywhere in an accident. for the rear bar there is a steel plate welded into place under the car for one side to be bolted through. the other side uses the original mount. its not very pretty, but its strong as all hell. now the sound deadening is gone we have cleaned it up.
  18. Less than 20 spots left. Please make sure you have signed and sent your disclaimer also.
  19. will try and make it.
  20. ALL GROUP PREFERENCES NEED TO BE LISTED IN HERE. LIST YOUR NAME ALSO. its not guaranteed but we will try to group friends together.
  21. I am the driver trainer that was driving your car when your motor let go. The fact your motor was plumbed up so it couldnt breath would be the main reason it blew. it certianly was not being punished. Secondly, as you were well aware that was the rex clubs policy at the time and if you remember we even tried to get you driving instead of me. so while i understand the frustration of that day, its rediculous to point fingers. you should be glad it let go where it did and we didnt end up in a wall. a little bit of history too, i have been an instructor at V8Race for 3 years and banked 4000 laps doing so. I was offered the job based purely based on my driving. so yes, while the driving instructors you get may not be 'professional', you are still getting a hell of a lot of knowleged and experience. i for one like to get into cars with other people who have skill, or even watching others incar videos. there is always something new to learn. oh, 1 more thing, i can guarantee you that a very small percentage of people know how to go fast around a corner.
  22. Bris, Dutton is the next weekend.

  25. speaking of hearing it, it is deafeningly loud, sexy loud, and thats from someone who loves loud, not these gtr girls with their uber quiet exhausts.. are you gonna change it for sandown? what wing also? v8 supercar? gallardo or 430 GT car wings are huuuge FTW.
