WHat a great weekend. all that work did pay off! the amount of planning and organising for this was huge! we managed to get enough sponsors on board that all our entries, fuel food and piss was paid for! so a big thanks to firebase and jdn.. if anyone needs fire sprinklers or a crane... or a crane with fire sprinklers... i still cannot believe that with 4 of the 6 cars not running on the saturday to have all of them out there doing full 30min sessions without fault all day sunday is amazing! and with the torrential rain we only had one person spin off... "you hack" after seeing the results, im not caring as much that we slipped to the back simply because to win this you have to drive so consistent and thats impossible when you have done some quick laps in the dry and then it rains... its way more fun passing as many people as you can! thanks to all the guys that helped out on the day, Bigbird for taking time out from shooting porn and Bec for being our team manager!

dont not do DT because you get less track time, which is marginally less anyway... we have seen a number of people write their cars off by jumping in the deep end when the probably shouldnt have... also, if you and your instructor are confident that you can go solo then you just let the clerk of course know and you will be able to drive on your own so its really the way to go.

mate, you will find that if you get more quotes you will get a much better idea. most places charge work out at $70 hour min. I have that same oil cooler and it is huge. i struggled to fit it anywhere on my 180 so you will find they may have to do a fair bit to fit it somewhere. if your car is your daily i would suggest buying the thermostat as without it the oil doesnt get up to temp. especially in the cold and wet.

The majority of melbournes motorists are a bunch of brain dead idiots who spend more time looking at their speedo rather than where they are going. They are inconsiderate and most have as much road sense as a dog. The best bit is these idiots teach their kids to drive... all states are bad, but drive around sydney and people acknowlege they are not the only car on the road and make an effort to flow. they all sit on or above the speed limit. it is proven that not keeping left causes cancer. true story.

i agree, 36 is not a special time, it is just rare to see an s13 doing them. you think you know most the track cars kicking round but then you get a surprise. if i had 230+ i would be mighty pissed if i couldnt get a 36 with the amount of laps i have done there.

based on some of the results i have seen we would beat them at deca on our maps. thats all that counts. the 'specials' were always quicker, but i thought they would have been quicker given that is all they are good for.

For $30 you cant go too far wrong. Those vids look pretty funny not being able to see the flags on sticks. i had a hard enough time trying to see them in real life... especially in reverse Overall it was a pretty fun day, although it could have been organised a bit better.. there was some incredibly random and piss funny cars entered with the biggest characters driving them which made for some entertainment... Nick, there is a drivers breifing at 1015. scruteneering starts from 830. i think we will aim to be there at 9. we have 4 or 5 cars coming too so it should be a good cheap day.. touch wood. class e for me. you would be in the stretch limo class
