  2. fair enough Ryan, you will still have a blast. Kieran, i can guarantee 100% that if you drive up and do not enter you will regret it. there are plenty of people who have done that before and everyone says they wish they just entered. If you are that unsure of your driving ability come and speak to me or some of the guys who have done plenty of this stuff. besides logic there are a few key things you can do to be well on your way to improving your driving ability. Driving at Deca is about learning you car and improving your skills. there is absoloutly no pressure to push your car or yourself to the limits.
  3. If you want to make friends then stay up there. deca is good for meeting people but the whole weekend is way better. Deca entries will open at 830am tommorow morning. there abouts.
  4. Entry list is up on the Rex site.
  5. there must be a shit load of lumber jacks around this season, kmart is chockers with flangel rags!!
  6. that is very weird. it pulled hard all the way down the straight, he then went back to 3rd and there was absoloutly nothing there... spontanious combustion...
  7. well done on the 22 mate. a big well done to timmy with the 25 on streets! you need to get a camera in the car before you make it handle properly. Bad luck to Russ busting his gearbox. its an expensive way to learn where your tow hook is..
  8. yep. there are a bunch of Rex classes, DT, a skyline class and an over and under 3 litre class. from memory. for turbos its capacity x 1.7. so CAs and SRs are both AO3
  9. Driver Training.
  10. its for the Rex championship anyway. but if you have a turbo silvia you will be in AO3 (Associate Over 3 litre)
  11. the only hell i give GTR's at sandown is when i go round pulling out wires and boost lines. Im not entered but im heading down to lend a hand with the DT, there is 12 of them entered...
  12. you can get a AASA licence for $50. this is good for deca, winton and calder. all other track require a Cams L2s licence. these are $100. if you are staying at somewhere like the Tudor, budget approx $50 per night. Taco baz's is usually $60ish with 1 margarita and some 'food'.
  13. if you have a normal bonnet it comes with a secondary restraint.
  14. good to see your coming jack 34's for sure adz! i want a 34 but will be happy with a 35. thats 4 seconds off my last time but with a bit more power, better brakes and the A050's. I will not be impressed if its not close to a 35.
  15. This track day is run by the WRX club. As soon as they get their supp regs and entry forms done they will be posted up in this thread.
  16. Have a read of this: DECA INFO
  17. noone would be crazy enough to lend that guy a GTR. But if they did... it would probably be about the same anyway...
  18. Its on again! After many minutes of discussion we have decided to run a 4th deca! We are also pleased to announce that Mick from Micolour is also on board as sponsor in cheif once again. If it wasnt for the enthusiasm from so many members we wouldnt be running this Deca, so put this in your diaries or wherever you put important stuff: AUGUST 15th! In taking on this Deca we will also be trialing a few new ideas. In short, you will still get the same amount of track time, but there will be more battles and a re-arranged morning. Another addition will be awards, similar to Dutton, presented at dinner. fasted times, most cones hit etc.. Entries will be going up on the 6th of July. It is first in best dressed. New members are encouraged to come to at least one DECA! any questions about the event feel free to ask. Also, keep an eye of for accomodation and volunteer threads.
  19. With the changes you have made to the rear end i was expecting it to be more subtle, but no, its still bonkers. congrats on the 19! so what do you think it has in it?? it will be interesting to see what a wing does for corners like turn 1. i wont be surprised to see you knock many seconds off. Real wheel drive FTW!
  20. Seriously SHUT UP. EVERYONE. ^^^ agreed. lock this please. If you still have any issues come to the next meeting and RAISE THEM. face to face like it should be.
  21. troy has always wanted a 'reasonbly priced car' so we can all put a time down. mick can tow it up there and we can leave the keys in it. free for all. someone will get a 34 for sure..
  22. i have been looking forward to this for ages! that drift day is convieniently placed i must say... will they do entries on the day???
  23. We need a winton thread. its going to be HUGE! with the way the car handles at the moment god knows how it will actually go... its very different to the way it use to be, im thinkin its because the rear end is now all sweet. 4 weeks, your car could be done and your probably due for some time off... how bout it?
  24. Congrats Pete! Will there be gate?
  25. If you have a look at the committee you will notice that no-one actually owns a GTR. infact there is everything from evos to 180s to gtst to the Box. As for the cruise... heaven forbid that the guys who volunteer their time run with something that i am guessing was successful again for other members to enjoy.
