  1. Eek. Will be setting one up this weekend, fingers crossed that one is a bit more reliable!
  2. Are you guys who have had issues running the Zeitronix setup?
  3. PT6266 would be more fun There are quite a lot of Supras running them, they seem like a pretty brutal all around setup.
  4. Nice result so far! Though to be fair I'm not sure if the PT6262 will really be showing its mettle yet, have you had any stock RB26 with a GT3582R on E85 on that dyno? That would make for a very interesting comparison
  5. Agreed Not so much agreed. I half agree with this Don't make a decision, just get drunk - go onto the net and order a twin scroll manifold from a reputablable dealer. That is very strange, I rate your opinion and experience high on most topics and if I hadn't seen otherwise with my own eyes I'd take that fully on board - and I am still taking note, but the amount of times I've seen results personally which are completely to the contrary is overwhelming. Alternatively, taking that to its logical conclusion we'd say that unless we are racing at top level there is no point modifying our cars full stop - but that completely misses the point of our hobby, we'd just buy cars to get from point A to point B and be more than happy with a stock GTR/GTS. Rationally that makes sense, but we aren't doing this because we have to.
  6. Mico - Whoever said that? If they have, they're being pretty bold about pulling the wool over your eyes - the whole point to split pulse is you are splitting the pulses and reducing exhaust collisions etc. If you have 6 pulses feeding into one collector, no amount of design is going to change the fact that you'll have twice as many high pressure pulses pushing for the same space in the same time.
  7. They have built some pretty cool stuff, and like to try and push the boundries - or say they are, but there have been a few cases where not all has turned out to be as fancy (on their behalf) as they made out. One of the funnier examples was when they were talking about "their" neat cams, pistons, and custom 4G63 billet blocks etc - and posted a pic straight from Billet AU's website of a billet SR20 block
  8. Huge thread on another forum about these guys, a lot of impressive claims but not many (or any) independant people running their hardware to back up some of the insane claims of the quality of their products. One of the top American Honda tuners put one of Extreme's "ultra efficient" turbos onto their drag Civic - tuned it, and then moved on to a Precision turbo within weeks... so until (or if) more of their product proves itself in the market I'm taking it with a grain of salt.
  9. You've had a eth content sensor fail? What type, and what were the symptoms?
  10. It could be a .82 T3 exhaust housing for an actual T3 turbo? Ie, not a GT30?
  11. Is the PT6766 any laggier than the T04Z? Surprised its not very rowdy, the GT3794R-HTAs (basically the PT6766s closest match) seem to scream. Please post results up when its done, will be very interesting
  12. Nice, twin scroll then? With that setup the 1.15 probably wouldn't have been a bad idea, but that is still going to kick all kinds of ass.... I'd put pressure on and say I'd like to see it hit 600kw When is it going on the dyno?
  13. That should be capable of a shitload of power!! Who is tuning it/what kind of dynpo?
  14. Makes it sound like like it'd be an interesting comparison with a Forced Performance GT3076R-HTA - the slightly improved spool over the GT3076R isn't surprising given its for intents and purposes a 52trim 76mm compressor (like the GT3076R-HTA) with the advantages that can come with billet goodness. Wonder what the PT5558 could do on full kill, though to start with its well proven its worth by matching the GT3076R in power while spooling better.
  15. Twin scroll ftw, thats a very very nice power curve - what does it drive like?
  16. Not as much response /power definitely, definitely. I don't agree with though power, especially assuming thats on E85.... 440+kw @ hubs on a stock RB25 with cams with a GT3582R on E85 isn't a huge shock.
  17. Yours does very good for the price, but given that it has more power absolutely everywhere and your turbo is nearer its limit than the GT35R is - your statement is very very subjective.
  18. Very nice - 200kw by just over 4000rpm, and 440kw... stout delivery there
  19. I like the way you are thinking outside the square, but in this case I think you are overlooking or missing a lot which might make you think otherwise. Here's one of the easier things to consider though - I assume you've heard of overrun injector cut-off (/ various other names meaning the same thing)? Imho that would have more of an overall cooling effect than anything you're going to be able to do by adding fuel. Any time you have fuel and spark you are going to be generating much more heat than if you have no fuel at all.
  20. The torque is ALWAYS going to drop off, unless the engine isn't being revved high enough
  21. Very very nice boost/power curve, its on the verge of the magic 200kw by 4000rpm mark despite being not overly aggressive on boost Very much looking forward to seeing what ethanol does to the party!
  22. Very good point, what the hell are you doing bothering with a car for 4km commutes!!?? With that fuel consumption you could get yourself a nice road bike with your gas money and get in 20 minutes or so of exercise a day
  23. It'll totally be to do with you constantly driving short distances with a cold motor, not really any way of getting around that unfortunately.
  24. This makes me happy to hear, best of luck for Wednesday - 200mph (+...?) is getting moving
  25. So recently one of the American drag DSMs running one of these had a few upgrades and a bit more of a fierce tune recently using a T3 flanged GT3794HTA and lay down 936awhp on a Mustang dyno (read similar to DD/Mainlines). Its first event it ran 8.48 @ 171mph on E85, and apparently has more in it...
