  1. Actually I've heard of GT4088R exhaust housings losing integrity under similar conditions as well, and "pound for pound" I reckon are not as good in terms of real world performance on smaller displacement petrol motors than the GT3582Rs. My view of "doing better" would be more like putting a Borg Warner S300SX on there if you were going T4 TS.
  2. Lol thats overkill for 500-550whp on E85 man - should still see >600whp on a DD if you leaned on it a bit. Just be a bit wary of EGTs on the track/drift, one of the guys here had one on his SR20 S15 running 600-700hp @ hubs on E85 and the divider in the ATP TS housing cracked... not ideal.
  3. The T4 would have definitely been more ideal, but will be good to hear how it goes anyway Keep us posted!
  4. Which is the T67 and which is the GT30R?
  5. I am sure you could get housings easily machined to suit
  6. Wouldn't this be a reasonable solution to that issue? http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TP&Product_Code=CHRA-GT2530HKS&Category_Code= Very interested to see the result, though I don't have my breath held for anything amazing, none of the GTX results so far have excited me - the best ones I have seen so far are almost as good as the Precision/ForcedPerformance equivalents which have been around for a few years. Would be nice to be surprised, though!
  7. Fair enough, though yeah pretty sure they did 7s on the SPL, the 7.57 on a GT45 hybrid later but they had been doing 7s for a while.
  8. Heat treatments first hit the 7s with a T51R SPL, got to have been making some power to do that - was definitely over 1khp
  9. Jesus Christ, f**king SAU and its retardedness on dyno results.... despite any redundant wahhhing you guys have about the fact every dyno on the planet don't read the same as your glorified brake testing machines the car has done a ten, my link to the vid was about the ability to do a ten and nothing to do with power figures.
  10. Isn't a 38GK no better flowing than a T51R SPL BB but laggier? Haven't experienced both back to back but its certainly the impression I have from other results I have caught wind of.
  11. At what point do you stop calling it a GTSt? The fastest stock manual rb25 irs one I know of is high 9s down to 7.2 for the Escort GTSt in Japan
  12. You aren't necessarily going to make anymore power unless the T88 was reaching its flow limit. Iirc the T88 is twin scroll, might be easier to go a GT4202R which is also twin scroll, sounds awesome an flows well
  13. Yep, stock 5 speed with twin plate clutch and welded rear diff if my fuzzy memory has it right. Pretty sure it was coilovers too
  14. 450kw on 20psi on a Dynapack set up in such a way it read real generous. Not fiction parts: Jun cams dialled to make peak power near 8000rpm Thicker hg Garrett GT3582R .82 at 20psi on Bp98 Stock below hg, only failed because oil pump drive gave up after a day of clipping a 8000ish limiter, and doing tens in a full weight car Pretty sure it was on Chinese manifolds too
  15. Here is a mates R33 from a few years ago doing 10.6, stock RB25 below the head gasket and on straight 98.
  16. Are you talking specifically manual ones, or R32 only or something? Pretty sure there are plenty
  17. Has anyone with a GTS25t or GTt with around 400kw tried them on MT ET street radials?? I've been in a 10s R33 and on street tyres it was definitely a joke below 4th, though seen vids of Supras in the states with mental power being relatively composed on radials more suited to the purpose
  18. Excellent... everything you have said so far is pretty much how I expect, so thus far I see no point in changing how I have been doing things, thanks for your input
  19. No straight up comparisons which I have heard of tbh, but so far FP GT3076R have made the highest power I've heard of from GT30-based turbos and they also spool better than the vanilla GT3076Rs so I'm already sold that the FP unit is the better option, given they're clearly both going to be limited by the GT30 hotside and the GTX seem to struggle to match the GT for spool/response.
  20. This doesn't surprise me too much, the GTX3076R seems to behave like a GT3082R - in response and power from what I've seen and people I know have gone from GT3082Rs to GT3582Rs and been surprised and pleased to report the response is no worse, but they get more power. Imho this renders the GTX3076R and GTX3576R redundant when there are cheaper alternatives in the form of the GT3082R and GT3582R, respectively.
  21. On how much boost? This one is already doing over 280kw on only 15psi...
  22. Thats quite interesting, I expect similar spool - but I'm kinda expecting a bit more power than that...
  23. Nice result, though the max flow a 20G will give is not a lot over 18psi - I'd not be too surprised if the turbo starts getting way out of efficiency trying to push more boost than that on an RB25, no doubt the E70 will give a bit of headroom for making some more power despite that though. If you've seen cars make more going higher its probably more than the engines need the boost, than the 20G itself. Will be very interesting to see how it goes with the boost wound up a bit more and the misfire solved, there should be a fair bit more than that to be got yet
  24. I missed out "so likely", and I was talking in reference to using E85 as the setup was definitely getting detonation on pump gas before we stopped getting torque gains. I figured people go way past the point they get knock limited on pump gas with E85 using forced induction without trouble, surely NA... even with semi aggressive compression shouldn't be too at risk? I don't know for sure, hence using "protection" and also asking here to see what peoples thoughts are. The car's factory knock protection setup is still running too, and that hasn't got any issue with anything but I have heard people commenting on E85 knock coming through differently.... which is something I currently struggle to see how, so come here asking
