Sounds good, mite even be slightly more responsive than my hta3586 which is 20psi at 3200-3300rpm. Was that on stock manifolds? Ive always thought about the -5s on mine for a stock looking engine bay.

When i read that it sounds like thats what you meant. Do you know how many rpm sooner the rb30 gets the -5s on boost compared to rb26?

Point being were they similar sized turbo, which you say they are. I just find it hard to believe that with similar turbos the rb30 isnt faster, and has better acceleration out of corners than the rb26, are they both at same power levels? Ive always wanted -5s on my rb30 what rpm do they make full boost?

I use stock plenum and stock sump in a rb30 gtr and had none of the issues mentioned apart from bottom gearbox bolts not lining up which is a 5 minute fix any way. Those who have driven both a Rb30 and Rb26 would know the benefits and how Much nicer the rb30 is to drive.

There is no reason the rb30 wouldnt be reliable as the rb26 with the same parts in either.

I dont think gt42 and " i dont want it laggy as its a street car" can be used in the same sentence. Why not buy a 800hp turbo instead of a 1000hp turbo if your goal is only 800?

I think all gears, including factory have a fair bot of clearance on the crank.

Yes my engine runs a collar and it had the collar when i broke the last 2 pumps. Rpm limit was 7800, now 8200 coz i raised it up to try and avoid hitting it all the time, which aint easy

Reimax do a straight fit gearset for rb pumps for $350, made in japan and used in motorsport events over there as a reliable upgrade. I have been using a set of these gears for a year with no issues after i had broken 2 stock gear sets.
