  1. Dont they sponsor Scotsmans Skyline GTR? Maybe everyone HAS to go cause their a Skyline sponsor! Sounded like a good excuse.....
  2. I am no expert like the rest of you obviously, but to me it would seem that the comp wheel has hit the housing and managed to break off one of the fins, which having nowhere to go initially would have been bouncing around on the front of the wheel for a microsec or so under suction on spindown and caused the slight damage on the high points of the comp wheel fins that remained! I would be interested to know exactly where that offending piece of broken fin is now? The problem is further back in the CHRA.
  3. PURESX stand.... who could forget that.. You lucky lucky bastard! Phone pix -sorry about quality but you get the picture....
  4. Yeah, but not exactly sure which GTS4? Let me know and I will do a page like KJ's with full size on www.Nissan-Skyline-Turbo.com
  5. Hi KJ, try here for HUGE! http://www.nissan-skyline-turbo.com/khunjeng.htm PS _ I HAVE EVERY CAR THERE
  6. Yeah Dave I know where your coming from. It may be interesting to put the manifold on our RB20 Drag Ute which has pyros on all cylinders running a Autronic to see if in fact it is no good. Maybe we should put lambda sensors as well... I did have a try at extending the port throats for torque but did not bellmouth them and left a fair bit of volume as well. Also I paid attention to velocity going in after the TB to try to even it out a bit. BUT, it was for LOOKS!
  7. I guess that was your excuse not being at Autosalon! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Damn, a licence and a birthday all in one year....
  8. AND you ALURE girls deserved it!! Hell you have to be quick in here! Well I just wrote a novel in here about it all and lost the lot when my PC just crashed! Sooo.... thanks all for the kind words re my old R32 GTS4 which is actually driving and lookin OK! Great to meet everyone again and the attractive promo girls who did a fantastic job, along with all who setup the display! Hi also to Nam hiding over with the Chasers guys and putting some of their cars to shame! Patrick, thanks, but the hood maybe sold... Some pics :-
  9. URAS unfortunately I cant dispute your generalised claim as I never just added the intake alone with before and after dyno results. I did a heap of mods inc new turbo at the same time. The main reason was for unique looks and to match the R33 GTR FMIC. If you look closely on the firewall behind it you will see my solution to the Coolant Air Bleed that needs to retained somehow when you fit another type of manifold. The cost was about $1500 all up and all the build info is here Visit My Website
  10. Hey Adam, please PM me your email as I think my PM out is not working..
  11. Hate to say this, but it may be worth doing a leak down test as well. My RB20 blew a few hoses in similar manner and when was all said and done (Looooong Story) the head gasket had corroded thru at the back of number #6 and was pressurising the system so the hoses were blowing. Check it out though... Good Luck!
  12. It is amazing, some of the things I read on here! FYI, and its been said on here a million times.... PINGING or DETONATION = LEAN MIXTURES! (In other words) NOT ENOUGH FUEL is being burnt with the amount of air in the right ratio. If you upgrade all the air inducting and expelling items so the motor is moving more air = YOU NEED MORE FUEL!! POWER= AIR+FUEL BURNT! UPGRADE YOUR FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM AS WELL!! THEN Dyno tune to get the Air/Fuel Ratio RIGHT!
  13. Another Libran another year older, HOPE IT WAS GOOD! Happy Birthday!!
  14. Hey THANKS everyone, - hope you had a good one Alan as well! Missed out on my pressie on Saturday cause the Melb Merc dealers service section had locked the cabinet that had my new MB Motorsports watch in it! Whoever it was that said Alan was old, he has a while to catch me.....
  15. I think the std airbox with K&N and the triangular metal entry pipe beaten out to cylindrical, inside a five inch plastic duct molded to fit into the entrance along side the headlight is the ultimate. In the pic above ( post #7) you can see the two rectangular holes near the headlight, - cut the middle bit of metal out making it one HUGE opening for the intake plastic duct molded to the same shape and protruding out a bit and wrapping round to make a smooth air path!!
  16. Hey welcome to SAU-VIC Tai! Great to have a true show car amongst all the trackstars.
  17. Pull that engine out and fit it in an AWD Manual model and it may be a different story....
  18. Congratulations! Just as well it came after naming the baby. Would be tough having the name "RH9" at school......
  19. Shane your plate inc girdle bearing caps seems to be the only one so far that I am aware of. I have often wondered why no-one has done it that way as the strength and stability of such a design has to be the way to go. The cost obviously will be more so let us know how much and exactly how the plate and caps will be integrated.
  20. Yeah, do like I did and ignore it thinking its a sender........ You will be sorry like I was too....
  21. The only bit I didnt like I tried to improve on, but not much luck I am sorry. If you like it - use it!
  22. Do it! Stealth is the trick! I used flat black upholstery paint cause its thin.
  23. Vin who!? I thought the Skylines were the stars of any F&F! Must watch them all one day.....
  24. Better let the missus take the cars and you do the chicks, - you know what I mean! Look forward to seeing them all...
  25. True, they need to be cleaned every day but they are so EASY to CLEAN! AND they look GREAT!
