FAQ: Apexi PowerFC - Frequently Asked Questions
32vspecII replied to paulr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
great faq ! "Another unofficial mod is instead of buying the official powerfc hand controller extension cord is to use a normal Ps2 extension cord used for a normal PC computer. Its the same cable you just need to break off one of the pins" which pin would be handy to have in there -
basically u would need some form of management to change injectors so that probably rules that out and the pump also (usually) the powerfc boost kit offers basic boost control , it does not offer gear / rpm / duty based boost control , auto turbo learning boost control (where you do some 7000rpm runs and it automatically learns your boost curve) , scramble mode or any of the ricey stuff . although this stuff may or may not be usefull to you for the price difference (bugger all) you might as well get the avcr , atleast it can be removed and sold if you have to its not tied to the powerfc and you might want those extra features one day . There is a thread covering this if you want to search with a powerfc , injectors and pump you should see 250rwkw . the turbo will be the restriction so perhaps plan a slightly bigger fuel system that could support 300+ incase you decide to get a bigger turbo later

its hard to get aftermarket management that works with the autos get a powerfc , just over a grand . everything you will ever need .

any recomendations on where to get these "good" gt30s ?

the sedans are cheaper than the 2door and autos even cheaper its cheap but its not that crazy

0-100 times R33 vs Ford typhoon and V8s etc
32vspecII replied to benl1981's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
my stock auto sedan is 7.2 seconds to 100km , you manual coupes should see 6s easily . its all about the launch , you really need to exploit the weight differential on the initial launch to have a chance . with that in mind my previous mildly tune s15 was more than competent agaisnt the later v8s and the earlier ones were no problems at all . if ur really concerned get a gtr now cheap b4 they change the laws spend a few thousand and never worry again -

Does anyone have installation manual for a Blitz dual SBC

wasnt attacking or anything just asking . i was actually quite interested in the group buy so I hope it gets resurected . this has been a great thread and from it ive decided to get the sbc id3 instead of the avcr . although I like a bit of bling in the cabin in the end of the day technical ability is most important.

mine was i think 300 from autoworx , i already had a turbo timer the unit with that function built in is a bit more

GT-RS or high flow?? opinions??
32vspecII replied to SouthernR33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i have seen a r33 that got about 250rwkw from it , but it was running std injectors with a fuel reg to boost the pressure so that might have limited it i dont know what kind of response it would have compared to the gtrs -
how come you can pimp your group buy and and state prices for it and newkon cant?

the ds is above n64 in terms of hardware specs , but your right probably not very close to the GC which is quite advanced . both portables will find their spot in the market easily , just dont write off the DS ! I could easily see a new psp version soon after the first release , with better battery life , perhaps less bulky . these are going to be sticking points for the psp vs the ds . nintendo and microsoft are actually colaborating on the next gen nintendo revolution and xbox xeon . Both share the same new ibm tripple core 4ghz 64bit risc processor . Games will be extremely portable between both platforms . The idea is to finally end the dominance of sony when they release the ps3 . given the huge game catalog of the xbox , having thier next console almost compatable with it should boost their own catalog immedietly

200000km my old 180sx had atleast 170000km when I sold it and no problems . Most people seem to be rebuilding around 150-200000km .

nintendo have already sold 2million + DS's . So its future is pretty well assured . The psp has an "average" battery life of 4 hours and reports are comming in of actual life of only 1.5 hours depending on the game . back in the stone age days of gaming there was a big handheld war . Atari released the technically advanced Lynx . It had a large color backlit display , it had dual 16mhz 6052 processors , stereo sound , lots of custom chips similar to a commodor amiga . Its main competitor was the nintendo gameboy . It was 4 shade mono , non backlit , mono sound and a basic 8mhz z80 processor . not very impressive . But the thing that killed the lynx was portability , it only lasted 4 hours on alkaline batterys , 1.5 on rechargables (dejavu here) and was quite large . certainly too big to fit in your pocket . The gameboy lasted 15+ hours on batteries , was small and had great games that were fun to play and fitted the portable format . and we all know what happened to the gameboy . Few people remember the lynx . the psp will do well no doubt , sony are already planning upgrades to its battery life (expensive hi capacity replacement batteries) and with the back catalog of ps2 games to port it should have no problems on that front . but nintendo know how to do handhelds and with more than 2mil units shipped the DS is here for ever . Also its a fairly advanced handheld by any measurement , about half way between a nintendo 64 and gamecube , dual processors , 3d accelerator . small , portable , good battery life and the touch screen .

i think youll find the auto is pretty worthless . youll be lucky to get $100 if someone really wants one and usually with some searching they can be found for free .

most aus spec ones are not ball bearing there are very few infact . if you go through nissan and ask for a replacement s15 turbo you will not get a bb turbo . which sucks because they are only about $1200 thru them . In short it may be hard to find a true BB s15 turbo and be carefull when buying 2nd hand if its claimed to be BB . CHECK THEM NUMBERS! my 01 aus spec is not BB
