  4. I had the same kinda question a couple of weeks ago, to get NOS or Water /Meth injection or Aftermarket Cams... Water / meth injection won for me. But i allready have a big turbo gt3040 with 1.06 rear, so maybe you should get big turbo then NOS later.

  6. yeah thats why i suggested its the plugs. It would be interesting to see if you can break the 280rwkw mark! damn that would be cool. I don't think i will be going to the track days just yet, i need to sort my car out and make sure its all reliable and setup right before i go do any racing. I need a few weeks.
  7. i allways take away 100 - 200hp from Ragans power claims.. they seem more on the ball park then.
  8. I might be on the dyno again this weekened if i can get all my mods installed on time.... PM me your phone number cos i lost it and if i end up gettin the dyno i will let you know... It did feel like it was breaking down a little, i figured it was spark issue... could have been r&r as well. gap your plugs to .7 and lets chuck it back on ohhh and im good.. i got quite a few more mods done to the beast... getting her ready to race!
  9. You should keep your Power FC. If you buy a Datalogit and a Tech Edge air fuel ratio meter I will show you how to set it up for logging, email me your map and your logs and I can tune your car for you from here. It will cost a bit to get the bits you need but will be well worth it.

  12. take the coil packs out. get a hair dryer and make sure they are dry. Check the spark plug holes, is there any water in there? if there is stick rags down there and push them in with a screw driver untill most of the water is out. Then use a vaccume cleaner to suck the rest of the water out. Pull all the spark plugs out and clean them and dry them or replace them. if its still failing then try a mates set of coil packs to make sure yours aint stuffed. I have wet my coil packs many times and after doing the above they worked ok.

  14. i usually find that after 2 and half hours i am wasting time on the dyno and should really get off it... after doing a full tune. have done full ecu remaps in less then 90 minutes but they were close to stockers
  15. I have had the rb30det's engine in and out a few times now, and the last time i had issues with the car the oil pump shit itself, but lucky i found it just in time. Anyway a N1 pump goes in and i noticed this time i was able to get the cam timing spot on, we have never been able to get the timing on 100% correct, it was allways a little bit off.... so i retarded the exaust 4deg for good measure. I do not understand what has happened to my car, it sounds soooo loud and sooo much tuffer then it used to, and its not cos i have not driven it for a month, i have had about 10 comments from friends "what have you done to your car? it sounds off its head and sooo loud now" (and i did not even bring it onto boost) It is very very loud, its actually too loud and i am thinking of doing something to shut it up. (yes i am getting old) I have done nothing but install a new oil pump and change the cam timing. how can this be???

  20. You do not need to get the car re-tuned. My car passed the emissions test with over 300rwkw. Its all in the tune! Look at the emissions testing thread in my sig, this was when i was getting mine passed.
  21. dont risk it with the oil pump, i nearly lost my forged engine because i was using my old pump. Got a N1 pump and now its fine. if anything it has too much oil pressure. We changed mine with the engine still in the car. was a pain in the ass to do too.

  23. i had this problem before. I used the s1.5 rb25 oil pump on my 3 litre block and there is one bolt that does not line up. It leaked so i had to buy a rb30 one for it. i know this don't help.. So these rb25's were different to the rest?
  24. i can PM you my 1.5 engine / vin details so you can call nissan and get the part number but they are at home... if you need them let me know and when i get home il send them to you.
