Flywheel, clutch, gearbox and starter are in. Freshly machined flywheel fitted and torqued up. Then realised being a new engine it was missing the pilot / spigot bush in the end of the crank. Picked one up and installed and flywheel back on. Clutch on. Its an Xtreme unit I already had in the car, handled ~300rwkw so should still be up to the task.

Getting things rolling on this again now I have recovered from everything else. Aiming to have it started within about the next 4 weeks. Sammich plate is on, flywheel sent off for machining yesterday should be back today. Clutch and gearbox should be back in over the next few days

Not a problem at all Dan and great to get a chance to hang out. Best for the day was a 1:24 so still a few seconds off 1:21pb but temps would have a bit to do with that - also growing back said knackers to carry more speed through turn 6! Was an awesome day great format, lots off fun tussling with the rexies, and that dinner afterwards was fantastic. Those wood fired pizza guys know how to roast a joint.

Yeah all glass except for the quarters. From Plastics4Performance in the UK - 4mm with the hard coat from memory. Not cheap - my mate got a full set of door, quarters and rear in the normal for the same price as my quarters. But I wanted them to look as factory as possible and wear well given they get temp numbers drawn on regularly.

Cheers. Yeah very much a retrospective build thread, I will update it with development of the car and results as it goes forward.

The suspension setup at High Country wasn't right so I have been playing around with rebound, slow and fast bump settings. Car is starting to feel really good and confidence inspiring so will be good to get back out on the tarmac rally tracks to see if its getting close. Aaaand a little vid from last weekends SAU VIC DECA on the mega mini wang. They tell me she ran the fastest time for the day so something must be starting to work.

Next up in with the glass and lexan quarter windows + NACA duct on drivers and vent on passengers. Then off to Race Pace for engine, gearbox and suspension.

Sourced a near perfect condition intercooler through Aaron @ Import Monster (who also sourced most of the other bits I needed), finished off all the piping and dropped in the airbox and power steering pump.

Cheers yeah there have been many late / all nighters, rolling around on creepers, misplaced tools, gritty eyes and grubby hands - and of course lots of swearing! It's all worth it now its all up and running, engine running sweet, suspension set up right and blasting around the tracks having fun.

And the finished product including wing. Once the front diffuser goes on it really completes the look but looking pretty tough at this stage. At this point a lot of my time starts getting wasted staring at it from different angles.
