  1. Not yet unfortunately have not had time, will try this week
  2. Hehe nice one. I always have crazy ideas like this - take a new, fairly pedestrian vehicle and turn it into something nuts.
  3. Shame mate - I had similar luck on Saturday at PI - first session, first lap, first corner turbo went. Was it today or yesterday you were there? Yep time to fix that oiling system!
  4. Well the bearings in my front turbo that had done all of 25kms decided to let go again - session 1, lap 1, turn 1! The jealousy levels were very high. Track was looking beautiful and the weather conditions pretty much spot on.
  5. Very nice. Would the other parts happen to be the Midori Silent High Power NR titanium exhaust? I am trying to find info on pipe sizes for them at the moment!
  6. Battery cable hole made and painted, mirrored the one on the other side and looks factory. Cable through and battery tray back in. Battery back in place. Also spent some time on my least favorite area of any skyline - the drivers foot well / fuse box / loom junctions. Got most of it hooked up but need to repair a few of the wires that were cut when the alarm system was installed and subsequently removed.
  7. The tank setup in the 34 is pretty sweet it doesn't surprise me they don't have trouble emptying the tank. I haven't had any issues at the track sitting on empty. Liam does the 33 have the tank above the subframe or under the boot like the 32's?
  8. Good to know - so he doesn't have any extra capacity externally that you know of?
  9. Hi Liam. What's the reasoning behind the extra tank - so you can use E85 for TT and get through the longer stages? Just starting to think about E85 for mine - from your experience do you think this will be enough to get through?
  10. Haha ok ok - tail shaft & 90mm front pipes. Dug out my old Trust PEII cat back and high flow cat to see what size they are. Not big enough - going to have to organise a new exhaust thinking Midori titanium. May even get the titanium Midori front pipes as well as I might need these ones on my other car due to a few issues. Wanted them originally but heard reports of titanium front pipes cracking - others seem to be using them successfully from what I have seen though. Fuel tank went in yesterday. Then started hooking up the cabin to boot wiring. This threw up the first issue with the battery relocation. The hole that works so perfectly is actually for passing through the 4wd pump wiring so I need a new solution to rise the battery cable into the boot. I left enough slack on the cable in case I ran into trouble like this so might bring it through behind the battery to keep it out of sight and neat.
  11. ATTESA reservoir & lines through to the gearbox are in, tail & front shafts are in and bolted up. Entire drive train minus the drivers drive shaft in. Front pipes on and played around a bit more with battery cable routing at the front where it ducks around the chassis rail. Looks like I can use more of the 34 bits than I thought - should be pretty neat once finished. Also spent some more time on hooking up wiring in the engine bay. Can almost see the end in sight.
  12. Have been 'tinking about making da headlights solar powered ....
  13. Yeah definitely interested to know what sort of cost
  14. http://www.skylinesa...bon-driveshafts PST ones seem to get a pretty good rap, looks like a heat issue in the 300zx link posted in that thread with the exhaust sitting right under the driveshaft - $$$ could be pretty good from the USA Edit: although - shipping from the USA is usually a farce
  15. There definitely has to be a better way to spend the $1,700 with more tangible results - what are you doing suspension wise? Changing any of the stock arms for adjustability?
  16. Carbon shaft for sure - had a similar thought ... the standard rb26 intake plenum is supposedly not even worth entertaining changing
  17. Battery tray mounted in boot Worked out the rest of the cable routing and sized it down appropritately Through to fused terminal And two grounding points
  18. Sweet will do. If only they made a ~370mm. Or I could bring myself to use a 356mm which would probably be more than enough anyway!!
  19. They would be for my 32 - getting close to needing some brakes - looking like a good option. Have a loose wheel here will drop past at some point in the next week. I guess if 18" te37's fit over stock r35 brakes it should be pretty close.
  20. Hey fellas - you know if the 380mm kits will fit under 18" TE37's?
  21. Too much! Hard to justify it now I look back at it. They were about 450gbp including the nacas, they cut the holes for you and do a good job of it. With some ducting it works quite well. Though probably just better off winding the windows down, but I find it a bit distracting which is part of the reason I had a go with these.
  22. What can I say - I love a good car hole
  23. Meant to say I fitted the whole clutch up then realised spigot wasn't in... used socket extension to tap it most of the way in, then a tapered socket that fit to get it the rest of the way.
  24. These wooden wheel stands are a massive help - had to get the car high enough to get the gearbox underneath on the hydraulic trolley. Getting closer. Are you too good for your home? Bit more gentle coaxing and playing around with angles and shes apples. First time I have fitted up a gtr gearbox, was a bit painful but got the drill down pat now. Starter fitted up. And cross member in.
