  1. Not sure about the 33's but on the 32 pretty sure it's the handbrake on signal.
  2. Well it is all happening! We only have 6 odd weeks to have the car reliable, guaranteed we are coming back with a blown this or that... but also the thirst for a somewhat competitive car in 2009 - you gotta start somewhere! Duncan - our only legal option is to run the ceramic turbos is it not - or have them rebuilt with a steel wheel CHRA? Someone mentioned earlier that to swap to N1 we would need to be entering the car as N1 spec and actually have an.. N1. Can't wait to get over there!
  3. 4 x oil cooled T2's from a 1984 nissan pulsar ET then? 2 x high mount, 2 x low mount! Just tell us!!! hehe
  4. Yeah luck of the draw! And knowing my luck.... Are you sure yours are ceramic still? Good to hear they have held together. Love your new 260RS btw - engine bay is neat as - hope there are still a few around when i need me a wagon. Stagecoach - when you are fitting the kit try and set the brackets up to make sure the lower AFM is not leaning against the intercooler piping (the one with twin turbo written on it). I have a hunch that vibration from this pipe contributes to problems with the AFM - namely this one http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...-s-t113284.html
  5. I would be scared to push the ceramic exhaust wheeled turbos past 12 psi! They tend to de-laminate and shatter, with the possibility of ceramic dust ending up in your combustion chamber, or best case clogging up your cat. I'd wait until you get some steel wheeled turbos on there.
  6. Couldn't be a couple of Borg Warner VGTs?
  7. Ahh gotcha! You should choose injectors that match your application. If they are too large you loose resolution at low pulse width - so your tuner will not be able to set the motor up to run as smoothly / efficiently at lower revs.
  8. raZ1911 - yes a bad thing. The computer will be firing the injectors at the same pulse width for all the injectors, so two larger injectors are going to let more fuel through in the same amount of time. If there were such an ECU that could control individual injector pulse width - (MOTEC maybe?) tuning the thing would be a nightmare - you would want to be monitoring Air/Fuel ratios out of each individual cylinder to ensure everything was good.
  9. thanks VLC works - picture/colours are fine for me...
  10. Hey what codec you need to play this thing? Won't work in Media Player or DivX player.
  11. hooray they finally dropped the AU doors and roof profile...
  12. What happens with the Supra if you start playing for air flow? The map sensor is only capable of sensing load, not flow, so increasing this will cause issues with mixtures will it not? Re-tune every time she starts to move a bit more air?
  13. Yep apparently the R32 ECU is completely re-flashable so - as long as your not changing things like injectors or air flow meters - are a really good option if you got someone that can tune them. I guess you can also get things like speed cuts removed. Re: cam timing - my knowledge is a shady but from what I understand the cam timing from factory was set up for shorter duration with emissions in mind - so yeah adjusting for longer duration gives the gain. Anyone else more knowledgeable clued up on this?
  14. Just about to make the same sort of changes myself. From my understanding the standard R32 dumps are quite restrictive, and the standard front pipes remind me of a straw in some parts so I would say changing these will open it up a bit. They run so damn rich though especially if you up the stock boost - mine gets as rich as 10.5:1 up top on 13psi - a remap or PowerFC and some cam gears in conjunction with the exhaust should really give you some more poke.
  15. Look to be to me - my '89 32 needed to have them put in tho can't say for sure. Is it empty inside the hole? Is the metal just normal thickness compared with rest of the door?
  16. spring washers are generally thicker too! ... wow that was helpful
  17. The manifolds have to come off as well yeah? kit comes with metal manifold gasket.
  18. Not just yet - going to do it in the next couple of weeks waiting on front pipes. Having done various other turbo upgrades on other cars I am prepared for the heat/time welded on nuts, physically impossible to get to nuts, pain in the arse water lines, melted on oil return hose, coolant everywhere, impossible angles for pulling off manifolds and turbos etc etc The guide that comes with it just looks handy! If I had it in English it would make me feel like it's just going to be a pain and frustration free exercise......
  19. Hey anyone got an english version of the instructions for installing HKS dump pipes? Not critical - but looks like a pretty handy guide for getting at the turbos.
  20. oh and if you do change the clutch - hold onto the bits don't leave them at the workshop - you can get them rebuilt down the track
  21. Lovely looking beast - i'm really coming around to the 33 GTR looks in that silver especially - maybe also 'cos everything on the 32 getting old! If its a standard clutch, change that at the same time if you got any bucks left because it wont last long when your testing out that magical 7k RPM launch I paid $1100 installed for an Xtreme HD single plate in 05 and it's still clamping as well as ever. I guess thrust bearing would probably be around $3-500 depending where you go - pivot ball snapping a few days before christmas cost me $500 but that's more because of when not what.
  22. my car does the same thing - has done since i got it in '04 - i think it's the pump turning off and on again or something
  23. Can we start a petition to move Ben closer into the city? Kills me!
  24. When i lost my only genuine key i got the locksmith to "read the cuts" on my crappy backup (it was pretty bad - hard to turn on ignition and would not open the boot at all) - then cut it on a cheap key - went out and tested then got two genuine blanks done to code. He also stamped the code on one of the keys for me.
  25. Agreed... Car alarms are just like everything else these days, with all the visible crime that happens - only a small minority of people are willing to involve themselves in such injustice towards others - and car alarms are bloody annoying!! At least the alarms are still useful for deterring thieves when they are in your car, panicking with adrenalin. I can bet that if my alarm was not going off when my car was broken into, i would have lost much more than some spare change and my freaking ash tray. Anyone got a 32 ashtray for sale btw?!
