Thanks Corey. Started with an 80 grade to get rid of the casting marks and rough surface. Lots of little 'spots' or pores that need to be taken out too. Next one I'll use is a 120 grade. I'm using a dremel type tool to get inyo those hard to reach areas. I also have lots of wet and dry sand sheets 180 to 1000 grit once it's reletively clean and smooth. Also have to do the 'twin turbo' pipe too, but it's a lot easier.

Pull the shaft using a slide hammer. When I pulled my engine, I just pulled the front diff cover off and levered the center of the shaft in the diff center. It's held in with a round wire retaining clip that compresses when the shaft is popped out through the spline of the diff. Hope that helps

I've seen this GTR and she's a good un for her age. Very neat. Been well looked after by Ben and it hasn't been flogged (he has a track beast for that lol).

Still gotta take the block in to get worked on, and crank to get fixed. Just got the new pistons and H beam rods. Very nice! Decided to polish the plenum too. Only 35 hours to go lol. Outside is where the sanding happens now!!

Some nice runs from the skyline brigade tonight. Pitty about the time board, but they said over the pa what the numbers were.

There is a thread on this problem. Kinda like a split second hicupp! We call it PFC disease as it only affects PFC's. People have swapped in stock computers and it goes away. Never happened when I had a HKS f-con v pro computer.

Aus models may have something similar when they arrive?? Just going off the aus delivered R32GTR's that had differences to the JDM models.

Hi. Jack vehicle and secure Remove wheel Tools: pliers screwdriver set 10-12mm spanners, sockets etc Follow the tube that contains the wiring that goes to the wheel speed sensor. Assembly is about 600mm long Undo the 3 brackets that attatch to the hub etc. Connector is in the engine bay near the grommet it comes through. There is one bolt that holds the sensor in the hub assy. Lever out gently using flat blade if needed. Sensor has/had white sealant on it to prevent corrosion and you will also see an o-ring. Cable probably broke. This is a typical problem as the R31 R33 and R34's use electrical speedo sensors and the r32 runs a speedo cable from gearbox to the back of your dash. Hicas uses your speedo as a reference for when to switch solenoids for rear wheel steer and power steering weighting. No speedo drive, hicas thinks theres a fault so throws the light. If you do a search you will find similar stories. Cheers
