  1. As long as the intake was not open to the elements and didn't get any crap into the bores, or the spark plugs were left in it'll be ok.... Oil in the bores will only make the reading artificially better if there is ring or bore wear.
  2. I'm drilling mine out to 10mm, to match the head gasket. Diameter of one of the oil drain holes, where it steps to the larger diameter is 9.65mm, and gasket was 10mm.
  3. I second that!!
  4. 26 head to be oil modded. Pic of the holes to be drilled etc.
  5. 26 head to be oil modded. Pic of the holes to be drilled etc.
  6. Ask Nissan??? If the GTR's were used and driven as a stock road car with no power mods etc, they would be fine 90% of the time. They did fix the oil pump drive from late R32GTR's onwards(thats about it). As soon as you push beyond factory specs and set limitations, that's where all these mods come in handy I'm sure.
  7. Bah, they are a dime a dozen aren't they......compared to RB26's!!!?! Probably buy ten stock bottom ends for the price of a fully built one.
  8. Nice. Should be good once it's tuned! Pics? Got my head back today too, just the block and crank to wait for now.
  9. Hey Gemma. Yep, skylines can be few and far between at times. There are a few of us in the western sydney area. Just come along to the next SAU event. Theres always good stuff on, and people to catch up with the car bug!
  10. Lol, no shortage of that. Got anymore progress pics of the beast?
  11. Call her Snow.
  12. Judging by the catch can arrangement, it's been blocked off. Has the catchcan got ant oil in it? Where do the blue lines that leave the catch can go? Have you checked intercooler piping for oil inside em? Nice engine bay by the way.
  13. Crankcase ventilation valve that taps into the manifold could be stuffed. Boosted air goes past this one way valve and pressurises your inside of engine. That would, could pump the dipstick out. Or excessive blowby past the rings.
  14. Peak power stock is at around 6800rpm so 7k is a good point to shift. Reving em to 8k every now and again will not hurt em, but bouncing off the rev limiter ain't good from what I've read and seen. Cheers
  15. Thats pretty low... 8.5 to 1 comp ratio should be on avg 160psi. 125psi is freshen up (rings and/or bore is worn?). Grey smoke is rich fuel exhaust from what I've seen in the past.
  16. R34 GT-T running a t04Z managed 360rwkw before the z32 maxed out.
  17. Yeah, but I guess they may stop the head from walking that .000001 thou Lol. It should be ok though.
  18. Hmm..= more wear and tear. No extra power with stock cams and turbos, and oil pump wasn't designed to do those revs.... But if you have the $$$$$, go for it, rev it till it pops lol.
  19. Turbo oil seal? What sort of k's on the engine? Compression test? How much blow by does it have? Fair few things to check to narrow it down, especially with turbo cars. Good luck.
  20. Yeah. Two steel sleeves that were in each end of the cylinder head. The bolt holes in the cylinder head where the sleeves go are slightly bigger than the rest of the holes. Thats what I found when I pulled my eng apart. They just came out. Found more used in the throttle mounts on the plenum too. Cheers
  21. She ain't doweled. There are two steel locator sleeves though. And those three bloody 10mm bolts that hold the head to the block too!
  22. Hey. Need Os gikken part or a twin plate clutch, details: Brand: Os Giken Type: Push To suit: R32 GTR Pressure plate: Twin finger pressure plate, old one was steel Why: Snapped a finger off pressure plate when removing engine and fingers are worn down. See pic OR An Os Giken TWIN plate clutch (complete, including flywheel) Needs to be push type Cushioned center. If worn thats ok. Pm if you got something. Cheers, Sean
  23. Same thing happened to me a while back. It would piss out one the engine was turned off. My leak was a hose that connected to the metal tube from the turbo water line. Hot coolant from turbos expanded more once engine shut down and found the easiest way out. Got under car and moved starter motor. With one hand I managed to replace the pipe (crap job to do), took me 5 hours.
