  1. Tomei oil restrictors X2 Sold pending payment. I did put a location in BTW, Sydnew NSW. Cheers.
  2. Yep, got the same problem doing most things here. I think there are things still being worked on since the server switch.
  3. Yep, been there done that, well worth it. It's easier to bleed air out and I think the pedal feel is better.
  4. Couple of marks and a small tear on RHS spoke, other than that ok. bellhousing and case, used Also an R32 GTR gearbox crossmember with rubber mount, used: $20
  5. Head is on with Tomei head gasket and part of intake system is on. Just waiting on new hoses, water pump, half moon seals, oil filter adapter o ring and shims for valve clearance adjustment. Cam covers are at Craved getting powder coated, and plenum is getting polished.
  6. R32 GTR, 3 years ago when it had 400hp atw stripped 3rd gear when shifting from 2nd, felt weird sloting (worn synchros?) in for a split second then bang, had os triple plate. Also snapped a uas pivot ball a few months ago. If money is no problem then I'd will/would go an os, ppg gearset to handle the hp.

  8. Ceramic turbines are well known to fail and then you get next to no boost. See if there is any ceramic turbine remains in the exhaust before the cat converter. Soleniod behind battery is the stock boost control solenoid.
  9. Very helpful.
  10. I think for street they should be fine (track is a different story). They did get a bad name early on when they were fitted to short oil pump drives and failed. So if you avoid the things that contribute to the pumps weaknesses, should be laughing fingers crossed (just my opinion).
  11. Thats a great price, you can buy one for me too lol. I'm going to run an os giken twin I rebuilt.
  12. Ha ha, I guess so. I have seen the uk one. Good one, just take your time and read everything three times lol. I had the factory manual at hand for all the stock torques, and used instructions that came with ARP bolts etc. I'm building mine on the loose side of factory specs, considering it's application. I'm now still up in arms on what oil pump. Was just going to run an N1. I don't rev it to 9k plus and I avoid bouncing off the rev limiter (jack hammering the inner pump gear) so for my streeter it should do the job. Funny how the stock pump was in excellent condition when treated with a bit of respect and could of been reused. In my line of work (aviation engineer) we have three people to check one job, torque etc, if it's critcal.
  13. Standard. There is a mod you can do to keep low beam on with high beam on in here somewhere (search) Cheers
  14. Did that to mine last week. Basically what is said above. Going to run the main line from the reservior to the front part of powersteering pump. Weld up the 'y' splitter piece or something.
  15. Ring gap is fine for my application, asked guy who bored and honed my block to suit pistons. new keyway no more scoring!!
  16. Jun....hmm, better save up some more! Here's a pic of a stock r33GTR pump vs an N1 pump I have pulled apart. Wider and bigger gears, stiffer oil relief spring, more robust and flow friendly housing and a different shape pressure relief valve. Haven't seen the inside of a Nismo pump.
  17. Just bringing up another thing on RB oil pumps. Sydneykid and others have already brought up plenty of info on the various oil pumps and setups available at the moment. I just want to know who has had any experience with the NISMO oil pumps that are available as well. They are roughly $900ish. They are not N1 oil pumps, so they must be different, stronger? Cheers
  18. Got the block and crank back friday . Cleaned and painted it up. Also punched in Tomei oil restrictor into top of block. Crank has a new keyway machined in. Piston to bore clearance is 3.5 thou. Used ACL race series bearings, standard size. Plastigauged bigends and mains and they are loose side of factory . Using paper towel to clean etc instead of rags during this build. Filed rings to spec and gaps are sweet too. The only issue at the moment is the top compression ring gap is too large (21 thou). I think it's too big and I haven't even filed them. I'm going to have to get some info on that. Will post pics once the upload feature works.
  19. so a gtr gearbox xmember will not bolt up? Use a gtr speedo cable. Just get a braided line made up to go from master cyl directly to slave cyl or buy one from just jap to suit etc.
  20. Changed a couple of rear ones on the mates 300zx. Cartridge type bearing $150-200! Definately need a press to do them, as you have to press out the hub spline. Inside these bearings they use a plastic bearing cage!
  21. Come on Ben, spill the beans!!
  22. The other one (project) LOL!!
  23. Fitting a helicoil (screw thread insert) is a great way to repair damaged threads and restore the component so the original bolt size can be reused. The secret to the helicoil is that, prior to installation, the insert is larger in diameter than the tapped hole. Before hole is tapped to suit the helicoil it is drilled a larger size.
  24. No extra noise noted when I bought a couple. Just make sure you retension, otherwise screachy!!
