Non turbo vl 5 speed is the nissan MF5 5 speed box. (RB20's, rb30's etc). Vl turbo had the 'heavy duty' nissan MX7 5 speed box.(300zx, GTR, r33 GTS-t etc) V8's had the borg warner T5 gbox. So in short, yes they are the same apart from a few little things that I've searched. Overdrive (5th) may be a little taller, and the r33 had twin syncro rings on 1st and second gear as opposed to single on the VLT box. Cheers

I think they collect the oil thrown off the crank and rods and guide it into the sump. Better to put em back on as they were designed to do a job. I put mine back on as per factory.

Hardest setting front and rear with tein super streets. Still rolls too much for my liking lol.

Price up some pistons and some rb26 rods for your rb25 plus bearings etc(rebuild). 300 plus kw with a t04Z yeeeeeha

Six nuts to remove off bolts on the driveshaft to diff flange is all ou need to do. All you need to do is separate it half an inch or so, so it clears the flange on removing engine. I ended up removing the front diff cover to push out the rhs drive shaft.

26 ain't cheap, to fix, parts etc. Rebuild the 25= fresh engine, tough etc. If you got the money though, go for it lol.

Your 60ft time should be better than that! I was getting 1.75 60ft on cheap nexen rubber on stock wheels. Suspension setup plays a part, you setup may be too hard.... Stock suspension works really well (weight transfer) and a bit of positive camber on the back, so that when she squats on launch the camber is neutral and you use full face of the tyre.

Well when you are stopped at the lights, the engine is under load in anything other than P or N, you can hear the engine unload when you select neutral,park. It does save fuel, it won't damage your gbox. I'd only select neutral when stopped thoiugh, not rolling along in case you need to accelerate in a split second etc.

Generally 10hp for every pound of boost, sometimes more. As soon as you go out of the said turbo's efficiency range (compressor map will tell you), the gain is less as the air starts to really heat up the more psi you try to run. For example, I picked up 40kw going from 12 to 17psi on my old setup with N1 turbos. Depends on tune as well.

Should be the longer drive on yours, get back to us on what you find. My engine was out of an R33 GTR by the engine number as it was changed before it came to Aus I'm sure. I was going to go a fresh set of stock pistons, rings, bearings originally, or just the forged standard size pistons to freshen up till I found the scores. Bore and hone cost $350 (sort of a favour) thats why I got away with keeping costs down, head skimed, cleaned etc $90. All the rest, done myself. The hardest thing is not spending more money on crap you didn't put in your goal, budget. It really can snowball, gotta draw the line somewhere lol.

Manifold and twin turbo pipes are pretty shmick now. They ain't chrome plated...... Cost a bit in the end but I'm happy with the result as I didn't have the tools to get them as good as I'd hope (wasn't bored enough lol). These along with the cam covers from Craved will look okay.

I heard something like that, but it's more of the synchro design they improved.

Green one is coolant temp switch plug for aux radiator fan, One under seat could be the seat belt pretensioner switch (they get anoying so are usually unpluged) Grey eng bay one??
