Ha ha, I ain't complaining lol. It drives like a bigger engine at the moment. One of my friends saw the graph and said it was an NA lol. In first gear I'd accelerate in a straight line and all through first gear you could hear tyres scrabbling for grip! I wonder what to expect when I run it in and go from there. WSID will be on the cards with some mickey t's to test it out.
Might as well be a supercar!!
Spotted a Black! R35GTR on Windsor rd near seven hills turn off.
Second one I've ever seen! Thought it was a 350z from a distance lol.
Had em out a couple o times. The spring clip compresses in the groove of the spline as the spline is taken out of the diff, it is supposed to stay in the grooved part of spline. Then it springs back out a little once out of the diff.
It would of come off the spline due to it being: worn, stretched out or bent or just by chance it got pushed off instead of compressing upon removal.
Anyone confused at my explanation I'm going to bed!
Can happen on anything really, faulty plug from manufacturer, dropped, mishandled, fractured etc.
Looks like a copper plug, but it doesn't matter what type:
As long as you got it out, thats the main thing.
Some of the smaller hoses are different and you can't use them.
Mark at MRC is trying to get a full set made up through the manufacturers, and just jap is still getting r32 hoses organised too.
Cheers.
Cheers guys.
Yep Richard, 2530's I bought off Slide a while back. I'm stoked it's going so well. All the little things + $$$ add up to get that figure lol. 260 poncams with around 2deg advance on the intake, 0 on exhaust.
Responsive for a 2.6l lol. It's very driveable in traffic too. Can't wait to finish tune on higher boost setting though.
Cheers
Okay, got it dynoed and cleaned up this morning. Found a couple of things. The fuel reg might need changing as it's a bit sus when revs are high at full load, more fuel was added to compensate but not too bad as it's on min 11 PSI boost anyway. Ordered in one from nissan. It idles at 1400RPM, idle control valve is letting too much air through(o ring inside is non existant), and I cleaned the throttles even though I read a topic about not to do that years ago!! It takes the sealing coating off the inside of the butterfly to bore seal.
Other than that, all good and since cam timing is sweet the gaph is great. It'll go back to the dyno in 2000km to get a high boost tune lol.
Okay! Put 1200km on it so far, changed oil and filter again at 1000k and check up and tune on dyno is booked for tomorrow morning (only good thing about shift work lol). Gonna check a/f ratios etc, to make sure it's happy when I use the upper end of the rev range .
It has a pretty beaty, cammy idle, only using 12psi to be safe lol. I guess I'll have to check nuts and bolts are tight too etc. Twin plate clutch is great compared to the triple I had for the street.
Also the engine has no slap or rattles when started and warming up. Engine builder I took the block and pistons to, recommended running piston to bore clearance at 3.5thou so I'm happy.
I'm using tein super streets with whiteline adjustable swaybars
I had ohlins when I bought the car and you would skip over bumps mid corner at speed= no good.
Car handles a lot better now, and ride is better too on Syd roads lol.
