  5. You mean triple check, then get someone else to have a look. It's easy to miss something if you have been at it for hours! Well worth it. I just haven't done an RB yet! P.S I work on 4700 shaft horsepower turboprop engines at the moment.

  7. once you have done all that, and paint has dried, after a week give it a wet and dry sand with 1000grit, 1500grit then 2000. Get a buffer and some cut and polish to finish off. Should be ok, or just go get it paint matched and painted at a shop.
  8. I do the same, to keep her happy. Three years and still going strong. Put in the whole container of oil 5l and get it to bump on dipstick. Oil and filter change every 3000km, plus oil cooler and filter relocator.
  9. Set rev limit, but you can still go over if you rev quick enough, as well as changing rev limit eg apexi pfc.

  12. Most likely true but.. Go for a 3 point alarm immobiliser at the minimum these days. Sadly these shifty characters don't need to start your car to take it, just a tow truck, or tilt tray truck. They smash the steering wheel lock(ignition barrel) and steer the car onto the tilt tray. Bye car. Full insurance, immobiliser, and watch where you park! Cheers

  14. What is annoying is that there is only so much room available at the front of a daily driven, street legal(term used loosely) GTR with all the mod cons(A/C).

  16. .............I'll get back to you on that one!!! Seriously, my oil cooler is on lhs now, I used to have a smaller one on the rhs, in front of recirc valves(pipes removed). So I was going to open up the front of the box, duct in from below headlight, and divert some of the intake air from the lh lower intake(split it from oil cooler). Have I lost anyone???
  17. I got a hold of a stock airbox for mine to get rid of the pods. I'm switching to an apexi pfc with Z32 AFM's. Bolt holes are different but all I did was mark out new bolt holes, drilled em out and fitted longer bolts with locknuts on the back. Just have to cut new intake pipes to turbos now when I get back.

  19. 1992 GTR Mine on weighbridge at WSID. 1530Kgs half tank fuel strutbraces oil cooler etc 18x10 nismo lms with 255 rubber stereo w 10inch sub and amp full trim complete with spare tyre and jack etc
  20. The clutch dampener seems to engage, disengage slave cylinder smoother(bit of delay, indirect), it's a metal square with a hose loop in it under the car near the slave cylinder. When I put in my braided line, it goes straight from clutch master to slave cylinder, so it bypasses damper. Yep, I think it's new clutch time or something for you!?
  21. Got a spare gbox in the shed anyway, but it needs a freshen up. I'll put in the clutch line and get rid of dampener first!
  22. Sounds like a good idea. It would suit your car. My guess is genuine not cheap! You may have to get some custom ones made up out of vinyl.
  23. Thrust bearing usually will have a rough feeling, noise when you go to push clutch in. Bugger, I will probably get gbox rebuilt with new bearings and synchros $1500 roughly. And I gotta put in braided clutch line and get rid of clutch dampener thing under the car. My clutch grabs as I come to a stop in gear with clutch peddal depressed(delay) and engine almost stalls. I think it's the clutch dampener. I have an os gikken tripple plate though.
  24. I have the same problem. Have to go 2nd then 1st when stationary. Gearbox synchros have seen better days on mine though.
  25. Ross metal jacket, I put one on mine. IMPORTANT: They haven't made a puller for it yet to get the bloody thing off! I rang em and they said they would get back to me....They haven't yet so I suggest you guys give em a ring also. This might get the ball rolling a bit quicker as when of if it needs to come off, you wouldn't want to destroy it in doing so. I tried generic ones(pullers) but they won't fit, so the only other option would be to get on manufactured to suit the ten? hex bolt setup they have. Cheers.
