  1. yes, NOVA AHHHHH... let alone HUGHSY.. can't even get away from him by not listening to nova... because he promotes holden.. but yes, idiots indeed.
  2. the white looks awesome!... What's in your garage that you don't want us to see? DVD players fast and furious style?
  3. have you had a look in the for sale section? there are usually a few BOV's here and there... I have a blitz supersound BOV.. it came on my 32gtst when it came over from JP.. it's used in conjunction with the stock BOV (and sounds good)... But I'm getting really over "phhhs" sound...
  4. Rhett, are you on third party or full compy? Because I can't find that in my third party fire, theft insurance policy.
  5. do you mean for insurance purposes? I think you will find that it depends on the individual insurance policy, I haven't heard anywhere that an alarm is mandatory, but I have *heard* that your premius can be reduced if you have one.. can anyone back that up? In terms of the mods you mentioned, you should be fine with those in terms of insurance as long as you list them... and with police and EPA, you need to make sure that the exhaust dosn't get any louder than 90db.. and the wheels don't stick out too far from the gaurds.
  6. yeah, as everyone said congrats!!! that picture looks awesome ^^^^^^^^^ I've been to the cuckoo as well.. food wasn't bad... the thing that freaked me out where the waiters in their freaky deaky 1940's outfits.... nice view too... and a pretty good drive around those roads....
  7. aww al you beat me to it!!! the picture: 8yrold on titoes with arm down big black pipe of doom..
  8. hmmm well if it's your passion and dream, go for it. There are a few things that you might not have considered. Police, expect to have a lot of attention from the police, I drive a 32gtst and haven't had too much trouble *touchwood* but there are many people on here who complain about police and modifications and their legalities ect ect ect... insurance tends to be pretty expensive for imports, but at your age it might not be too bad.. be careful if you plan on buying an already modified car or even when doing modifications as you have to list them on your policy, and (there is much debate on this) insurance companies may refuse to pay out if your modifications are illegal. Also, owning a skyline isn't exactly good for the bank balance as someone said.. fuel + insurance + modifications + EPA's + defects... having said that, theres no better hobby
  9. campbell, saw your car in speed (or was it HPI). Great looking car and I love your frontbar to death (don't change it).
  10. Check the tutorials section.. I think theres one there for the r33?
  11. No major accident history? Excellent condition for it's age. Bad luck Mark. Hope it all get's sorted out for you. My stock rims are full of gutter rash.. the previous owners obviously couldnt park for crap, not to mention all the marks on the rear bar.
  12. congrats on the purchase dezz . And now the waiting game starts... (makes it all the more sweet when it get's here)
  13. yeah, when my 32gtst came in the passenger side window didn't work and neither did the sunroof.. Just turned out to be dry solder and dirty terminals, just take it out and resolder it yourself.
  14. ?? I thought it was only VL's... I thought VN's had the ecogay.. i'm probably wrong, my knowledge of commodores isn't exactly tops...
  15. I think it looks awesome
  16. cause its engrish.... sort of
  17. just saw this on yahoo auctions
  18. hey shan, with the light up panel factory option, is that a seperate rear bar altogether with the 'skyline' part cut out and the EL sheet behind it bla bla bla.. (I'm assuming it is).. or can I just get the light up part and stick it on the normal rear bar?
  19. excuse me shan? I believe it's "we produced with spartan air"... Had to pull you up on the technicallity .. but what the hell does that actually mean? probably nothing.. In regards to your motto, just mix and match a few things from yahoo auctions.. bass junky's quality produce medieval times.... I occasionally see 'medieval times'...wtf??
  20. haha I know!.. Every time I think about modifiying my car I can't get too carried away, because I have to think of defects, EPA, insurance, power/weight ratio bla bla bla bla bla bla.... japan seems like this magical dreamland in comparison.
  21. heres a pic of polished cam covers:
  22. nice cars. I'm officially changing (or making) new life plans. learn japanese during uni, then when degree is finished, live in japan.
  23. well I suppose it's POSSIBLE.... but it's highly unlikley that the k's are real. It seems that alot of the 32's seem to have the magical 80's or 90's... look at the condition of the interior, the condition of the leather on the brake and gearstickboots and steering wheel. But if they are in Aus, even better go and seem them for yourself, test drive..
  24. you need import approval and a compliance certificate.. The guy you are buying the car off should have both. hope this helps.
