  1. well I opened up my console and there are 4 or 5 plugs that aren't connected to anything.. my actuator also seems to be dissconnected.. I found that as a temporary fix, just drive around with recirculated air .. the little button on the bottom right of the unit that has an arrow doing a U turn.. this should close of the air from the outside, and just recirculate the hot air..
  2. same here again.. I haven't got the package in the mail either.
  3. 6.20!!!!... where is the nissan spare parts joint?
  4. You know those sticker booths that poeple seem to associate with asian cultures? I found a sticker in the side door pocket thingy of what I think might have been one of the two previous owners. It's a picture of two guys and they look like the jap equivalent of metro's... I also found a rag in the wheel well. There is a switch for fog lights but there are no foglights (Is this standard on type M 32 gtst's? It's above the backwindow heater/demister control) It also came with a bundle of wires and crap that I think might have been for an alarm system.. There are ramdom plugs on the inside of a cabin, and a holster for something that isn't there anymore... When I opened up the console i found 4 different plugs that didn't go anywhere! One of which looked like an adaptor thingy for an aftermarket head unit...
  5. awwwwwwww
  6. it happens for me too!!! in fact, quite a few people I have spoken with 32's have this problem.. I thought that it was because the intake for these (at least I think these are the intakes) are underneath the windscreen wipers which is sorta kinda underneath the bonnet... my theory for the hot air was that air that was going over the engine was getting sucked through the intake... what does the plug look like?.. I pulled out the ashtray and noticed a plug and didn't know what it was for. Does it connect to the back of the climate control unit? And why would it have been unplugged in the first place? Degassing maybe?
  7. hahahahah just watched the video, nice one.
  8. dosn't look toooooo bad... :S.. better than the V35 anyway.

  10. nah dude, it wasn't the one I was thinking of, but I'll keep an eye out for you anyway...
  11. the VIN plates that I had when the car came from the japan are the vin plates that I have now and are regoed with. it came from japan like xxxxxxxxxhcr32xxxxx... under the 15yr rule no compliance plates need to be fitted, only a compliance certificate is required, as well as the original VIN's of course. As far as I know VIN's aren't reissued, at least under 15yr compliance anyway...
  12. this looks like the GTR owners club in japan, photos very similar to this were featured in an issue of HPI a few months back..... the author and photographer who did that article is actually a member of this forum. They are probably his photos....
  13. I think he means number plates, I had my car trucked places, because I was too scared to risk driving it without insurance between compliance and what not... a picked a place to get the car roadworthied that was close by so as the chance of having an accident was lower, and yeah, as soon as I regoed the car I got it insured.
  14. hey jdill, tell me what your car looks like, I think I might have seen it in greensy a couple of times. And about the Maloo.. maybe I have seen a maloo in husrtbridge recently, can't remeber if it was green or not.
  15. oh sorry dude, didn't read the question properly.
  16. thanks to everyone for a great time. I was pretty nervous at first about meeting all these people I had been talking to on the forums for over a year now, so thanks for being so kind and outgoing (to those that I met), was nice to finally put some faces to names, and I hope to meet more of you next time. PS I'm a member now WOOOOOOOOOO.... and I have a Tshit too> :) :)
  17. well they are *supposed* to destroy your stuff... but I doubt many of them would... they would probably be putting there business on the line...
  18. your car looks good in your avatar. Congrats. I don't know if this will be much help to you, but I've heard that for SEVS compliance, if you can find a way to reach stock height with the coilovers then it will pass.. I can't confirm how true this is, maybe this was one incident of a workshop being leniant, but ring around and keep it in mind if worse comes to worse. Good luck with compliance.
  19. what time will the event be finished?.. I need to be home by five because I have to work at 6....
  20. wooo I live in hursty... skylines are rare as... well rare around here, so it would be sweet as to meet up with some people from the area (or roughly)...
  21. gtr now? what the?.. well anyway, the difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger is that, the compressor on a turbocharger is driven by the exhuast gases leaving the engine... the supercharger's compressor is driven by the engine crank via a belt.
  22. yep your right. Also, If the left line (in the center of the road) is unbroken, and the right line is broken, then that means that you cannot overtake, but people coming in the opposite direction can. And vice versa.
  23. the official figures also depend on the year it was produced.. I think in 91 they got marginally heavier.
  24. yeah you should be fine.. unless they are tight they shouldn't actually test for roadworthiness as someone as said above.. Don't worry about bringing your car down to stock, just make sure you bring all your paperwork, and make sure it matches up. For example i got knocked back on registration the first time because on the RWC it didn't have RB20 written in front of the engine number, even thought it isn't actually part of the engine number.. So check that all the numbers in your documents match against each other. The only thing that the people at vicroads checked when I had my car inspected was that the engine and chassis numbers from the car matched the numbers on the paperwork.
  25. I clean oil off workshop floors about twice a week.. and the only thing we use is good old fashioned petrol. Just chuck a little petrol over the top, and wipe it with a cloth, good as new!
