  1. Hopefully will be able to come along in my R32 - Just waiting to see if work will let me take the day off
  2. That plenum is beautiful!!!!! Keep up the great work, looks like a lot of fun
  3. Inspect and if needed replace your slave cylinder and give it a good bleed I had the same symptoms when mine started to fail and a new slave fixed it EDIT: Spelling
  4. Feel free to PM me if you ever need a pair of hands
  5. Well there you go, ill stick to my oem one
  6. Is that so? I've been considering buying the adapter plate and putting it on my RB for a little while now as I've got the fan sitting on the side from when i had an S13. The fan went well on my SR and I've nothing but praise from people running clutch fans on their SR's at QLD Drift Matsuri, they swear by it, i'd assume an RB would have a similar result? all it does it pull air through a radiator better than the stock design, well at least they claim to. The only people I've heard bash the fan are those who think it will lower the operating temperature, and are also using the stock temp gauge to "measure" their "results" - both of which render their "research" useless as they clearly have no idea what they're talking about.. lol Has anyone here had a bad experience with it on the RB?
  7. Hopefully getting the front bar off to get some paint next week too! neighbors are going to love my car even more without a front bar..
  8. Having had enough of the chong radiator with a ridiculous attempt at a thermo setup, i went to work today and replaced with all with a KOYO oem replacement radiator, a clutch fan, and shroud. COOL! - Pun intended! - The garage... lol While i was there, i replaced the upper and lower radiator bushes with brand new ones, even though they make literally no difference, they do look better - New Bushes and part numbers 21506-01U00 - TOP 21508-01U00 - LOWER - Gave the radiator brackets and the driveway some paint - Much better! For the future ill look at getting a nice big GReddy alloy rad and an oil cooler, but not for a while, my driving doesn't warrant it at the moment, not until im well into the turbo phase anyway I'll save you looking at the end result, it looks stock and that's not that exciting... Cheers!
  9. It's definitely on my list of things to buy! Friend had one the blackvue HD, good quality video, would recommend
  10. For the record, I'm not doubting you, or bashing you. But swapping an engine is quite the undertaking, and the way you're asking would assume you're not confident and probably shouldn't be doing it ANYWAY. You asked a question.. Buy a turbo motor, replace everything on it while it's on a stand, I'd suggest a rebuild it if you don't know the history / health because if some guy says "yeah mate was running sweet" it's probably blown up. which is exactly what happened to me, but i was rebuilding anyway... And then put it in the car Easier said than done, but it's still not actually hard if you're mechanically minded and keen to take the car off the road for a while. In saying that, in your situation, the very fact you're asking questions like what you can do to do the swap would show it's probably not a good idea and you'd be biting off more than you can chew QFT
  11. Yet to try anything as i'm still worried Will contact local paint shop and see if they can sort me out with some plastic safe stuff Thanks for the replies
  12. How do i go about it? Is it a no-go zone? I have a GT-R lip which has been touched up about 100 times since it was made back at Nissan and i want to take it back to plastic, prime and paint it properly Any tips? I'm worried about melting or pitting the lip with something harsh like paint stripper, should i be sanding it all the way back? Thanks!
  13. Looks really clean! I'd go for black myself because that's how i like it Gold could look good though, depends what you like
  14. Check door jambs for a big pink or yellow sticker as well as the firewall or strut tower tops don't mean to come across as rude but If this guy can't open a bonnet he really shouldn't be in control of a car, they don't make it that hard...
  15. The engine has been completed! - I know you all love pics, so here goes So we pulled the head off, and pulled the crank, rods, and pistons out to find a smashed ring land and a huge score in Cylinder 1, great. As it's my first turbo car, i didn't really want to go down the route of a forged engine, so i went to a wrecker and bought a RB25 block in better condition than mine.. bit annoying when you buy a motor and it's blown up.. oh well. I did however get all of the the accessories, pumps, spare loom, and a good condition head which i rebuilt anyway New pistons from amayama Nice And a photo of the engine! Exciting!
  16. Destruction physics look really good, i would like to give it a go The "kill everything" thing doesn't really bother me, i love game development and 3d animation so the buildings blowing up gets me more excited than anything lol
  17. Hey mate, thanks for the kind words Best is a 1:19.7 - Would've been nice to have some nicer tires though, the rear end was very slippery, i think i was on the tread limiters at that point.. (oops) That sounds mad! Always been a fan of the GT-R, might have to upgrade later on haha I know the way, 220k's on this one and she still loves a good few laps, and they aren't calm laps either
  18. Why do you have a boost goal rather than a power goal If you really want 35psi just make a whole load of restriction.. lol
  19. Great to meet you too, i should totally update this when i get home from work! The motor is complete! will upload some pics when i get home
  20. Sorry for the late replies I was planning on running electronic boost controller anyway yeah i might just wire it up and hope for the best lol Thanks for the help, will get pinouts and compare!
  21. Haven't done it, but have read/heard it's a shitter of a job and requires some moving of the intake manifold? Just poke around and make sure you can see what you're doing before hacking it in half
  22. I'm on my P's and i own an R32 Skyline with the RB25DE motor from an R33 - However just built a turbo motor for the swap at the end of the year It is by no means powerful, or fast compared to any newer car like a falcodore or any euro which is more or less expected.. I have the turbo bits like brakes and diff so it's a blast at the track but on the street it does lack power In the end; I wanted a skyline, so i bought a skyline, and i love my skyline. Just buy what you want and enjoy it, do what you want to do
  23. Buy some stock gear - Email some wreckers around AUS and see if they will freight it to you, I'm sure they would. Other than that, try posting in location specific boards and see if anyone in your area has some stock bits you can borrow for a case of beer.
