  1. Just wanted to point out the obvious....unless you did the dyno on the same day then you can't really say the difference was due to the oil. I did appreciate that post by "Andrew", it was an interesting read.
  2. I got one from total tools, the c-spanner has a hinge on it so it can adjust to different sized coilovers. I think there are a few other companies that sell them. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sp...21#entry2028221
  3. I'd recommend a GPS, off some websites. like oo.com.au you can get TomTom's pretty cheap. The garmin is apparently better but I have not used it yet...
  4. Depends on the tyre I was recommended 38-40psi cold on a 255/40/17 by the seller for Federal 595RSR
  5. Entered, use the WRX forum link if the SAU links are not working. The supp regs link in the first post was not working when I signed up.
  6. 1000km / year? That's like 2 big cruises a year If you don't enjoy it that much then its probably not worth keeping, unless you have spare $$$
  7. My new tyre pressure monitoring system can see anything from 33psi to 39psi depending on weather / tyre temperature. During warmer weather it was closer to 36 - 39psi.
  8. I bought one of them on ebay, was about 9months ago though . It came from the USA
  9. I remember someone trying to organise one quite a while ago, not sure what happened in the end
  10. Tried justjap? They do cost a fortune though depending on which lip your looking for
  11. What defensive driving school did you go to? Braking makes sense, in any ABS equipped car the braking will allow you to continue to steer. It may seem counter intuitive but its something you should have been doing on your advanced driving course. In a non-ABS equipped car you get on / off the brakes to correct your steering direction and back on the brakes again (and hard0. If you didn't, go with driver dynamics for an advanced driving course next time P.S. I've applied the "brake" theory when spinning out on a track at high speed, it definitely works If I tried to counter steer I had a 50-50 chance of making it or going a long way off the track
  12. Ask someone who makes the normal lock bars how much they weigh, I don't think its much more than 1kg from memory. Maybe email a sponsor who sells it ? http://www.isc-warehouse.com/index.php?mai...products_id=247
  13. Can and will stand up in court unfortunately. As Graeme points out in the post above, he may have had a digital speed checking device in his car, he is under no obligation to show you. Even if he didn't he can still estimate.
  14. The Enkei rims I got came with a thinner extension as most sockets cannot get to the nuts due to the wheel design. I'm sure you can buy them somewhere, or you can take any of the above tips.
  15. Did you know the tutorials section of the website? It contains guides about this, a moderator could move the topic for you
  16. Which redline website did you use the get the recommendation? From memory the redline Australia website used to recommend lightweight shockproof for the R32/R33 gearbox Is your gearbox old? Is the shifting good?
  17. Justcar has an adjustable excess, so you can drop your premium but the excess will increase instead... I'm saving a few hundred a year at least, but the excess is very expensive.
  18. Yes you could, but you probably wouldn't do a very good job unless your an auto electrician. The alarm install is more important than an alarm, but in some cases nothing is going to stop a thief, eg. if they have a tow truck.
  19. If the cop thought you were doing 100km/h in a 100km/h zone there would be no fine What's the fine for? And what speed zone? Police are allowed to follow you for a certain distance to determine your speed, how far over are you accused of been?
  20. Aha, I see an issue. Try Firefox or Google Chrome, IE is naturally slow You could try IE8 and see if your issues go away, I'm currently using the Firefox 4 beta 1 and its significantly improved over Firefox 3 Chrome is also nice and lightweight, if not a little tricky to use at first.
  21. +1 For another poster who said "reference google" here you go: http://law.anu.edu.au/StaffUploads/9-Bartlett.html I had a quick skim, but I couldn't find anything that could be usefully applied. Or a clear definition in terms of traffic law.
  22. Swap your exhaust for someone who wants a quiet one ?
  23. The system should be engaging around corners, when accelerating out of them. But when accelerating out of a corner, keep your eyes on the road The passenger can watch the gauge for you...
  24. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HICAS
  25. Fair enough, but its all part of the trap Ignore them or switch lanes, never give in to them.
