  1. Interesting, might be in touch once I save up some money...which could take quite a while
  2. Wouldn't that be the same as buying a 2860-9 or similar? Or are the results different? Apologies for hijacking the thread.
  3. Please refer to this tutorial HICAS removal bar fitting for R33 You should know to search I removed the globe from the dash as the light been permanently on after install can get annoying
  4. You need a wheel alignment afterwards but never had any steering issues, maybe some of these people disconnected the HICAS ECU? I believe there is a good tutorial on the install.
  5. performancelub.com + shipping will be cheaper than most places. Oilworld in Moorabbin sells it too...
  6. I believe JPNZ sell a translated manual if that helps... The engine manual is available online as well.
  7. They also popup on ebay and other random places
  8. Did everyone see the police hiding in the black spur and using radar to catch mostly bikes? They even used some basic camouflage, looked like an army operation!
  9. Any chance you could PM a moderator or start a new thread with the correct date? I'm sure someone will come down on the wrong date I'm interested in attending, but probably in the daily...
  10. Agreed, a bunch of guys in there early 20's attempting to tell older members of the public would more likely be less effective than older members
  11. Ok, another dead give-away would be the rear lights. Is there 1 or 2 reverse lights? And do you have the foglight switch under the steering wheel (not directly under but you know what I mean) Series 3 have 1 reverse light and 1 fog light.
  12. Performancelub.com can be cheap but you'd have to pay for shipping....which is normally very reasonable. I also believe its a one man shop so he may be on leave / sick.
  13. On the old R31 (injector leaks are common) yellow around the injector was a sign of a leak, and it idled poorly / did not accelerate well. I would clean it and then see if it leaks again after that...
  14. I have a HKS super dragger, and it's a fairly quiet exhaust. It won't compare to a custom made exhaust in terms of quietness. A cat-back exhaust is the most common type... EDIT: not sure if the Super Dragger 2 is very different or not
  15. Series 2 onward should have had dual airbags out of the factory. Does it have red stitching on the seats/steering wheel?
  16. I've been to Traction tyres Rowville a few times, they are good. Others are recommended in the Vic forum.....try searching a little more
  17. I don't mean this in an offensive way, but what's the point? It it to make it look cool or is there a practical purpose I'm missing?
  18. A year ago I was quoted approx $1200 or $1300 for a rebuild, more if you wanted it to be stronger in some way.....I can't remember if it was friction plates or something else. That was from Racepace. I bought a second hand one for $400, there was another available for $200 but not completely sure of condition "I think it is in good condition", I know which one I bought I can't remember if I called Award diff and gearbox for a quote, I think they were a little cheaper.
  19. If your willing to avoid driving the car during the major operations AND avoid certain areas then you should not have much of an issue Good luck
  20. For everyone's reference I found this page on the GTR canada forums that has pictures of this Skylab TSC. Most people who bought the Skylab TSC or ebay one think its good, technologically its vastly inferior to a Ruzic controller, that said most people seem to think the Skylab TSC or similar is better than nothing. If you can get a Ruzic one and have the money then go for it, I did the research and bought one and its great, I haven't played with it much of late in terms of settings but most people who have the Ruzic can attest to the difference it makes. I can't speak for any other controller because I only installed one of course I just hope other people who read the thread will benefit from it. The op has made his choice, I can't see why he chose that particular one though...
  21. I was recommended 38-40psi on 235/45/17 if that helps, 40psi was for an advanced driving course at Sandown, but everyone seems to recommend a slightly different amount so you will have to experiment
  22. It works on the g-sensors therefore it should work on any R32/R33/R34 GTR
  23. What tyre profile? Lower profile often means higher pressure, within reason On the 65 profile I run 36psi cold. On the 40 profile I was recommended 38-40psi cold.
  24. I paid approx $250 from memory for a fully installed alarm on a 1996 Ford Falcon, I believe this may have included a battery backup add-on as well. The car did not have an alarm, and I'm unsure what the price would be for a skyline. EDIT: the membership price for SAU would offset the price to get an alarm at this price. Also note that I bought the plain alarm system, nothing fancy.
  25. In the Vic section there is are forms http://www.sauvic.com.au/files about $50 a year for renewal after the first signup. In regard to Ben, call him on his mobile
