  1. I'm not a king, but I can tell you that most state-specific sections of the forum will have a sticky with a list of recommended mechanics. Vic has one
  2. So the op is looking at 5K for the OS giken upgrade? I assume the alternative (PPG) is a similar price? Sounds like it would be worth staying stock unless you know that you break standard gearboxes due to extreme power levels, and not poor driving technique I am curious how much a standard + new sychro's rebuild is
  3. Incorrect. Strong acceleration will move some load to the front wheels, just not a lot. ATTESSA will work on corners before you lose traction. You don't need to be too worried about the front torque gauge not moving all the time, you'll notice the difference mostly on corners / hard acceleration or loss of traction.
  4. That's because you don't really use your biceps that much I found that legs maintain ok, shoulder / upper back strength you tend to lose quite quickly as well
  5. So what are your goals? It sounds like you want to get a little fitter, and maybe lose some weight. Gaining muscle / losing weight is mostly diet. Routine wise they're are a lot of things you could do, if your aiming for strength I'd recommend bench, deadlift, squat, military press , dips or similar. Powerclean's are also great but they are a little technical, you also either need bumper plates or quiet a few mats on the floor to take the impact of the cheaper plates.
  6. Have you tried searching the forum at all? Your not the first person to ask about workshop manuals or engine manuals.
  7. I've heard Sabbadin automotive also do custom exhausts, not sure if they are as quiet as the Racepace ones. I do plan to try one at some point...
  8. Are we referring to the small bolt on the front of the head? Or the bolt they are referring to it this post: http://forums.nicoclub.com/oil-in-coolant-...5.html#p5577658
  9. Only mods can edit posts more than 30mins after they have been posted. This thread will get locked if it keep going down hill Bad luck getting written off, hopefully they will pay you out a decent amount of $$$
  10. Might help if you posted up the car and the kind of gas system. Vapour systems often have specific companies that tuned them...
  11. Hi, Do you happen to remember what the latest checkin time is? I remember rocking up pretty late last time, around 11AM, and it was still very busy, I didn't find any SAU people so left. And then I found out the next day the track gets better around 1-2PM
  12. It wasn't an on-ramp, this was 4 lanes becoming 3, his lane was ending with a dashed marker and the "left lane ends in X metres signs". Your point is taken that this is not a zip-merge but a "give way" and while I did have right of way there was plenty of room for him to change lanes in front of me safely, until he slowed down.
  13. Nice, I use a Romisen RC-C6 Mainly because it floods a huge area when you use it, which is good when you want to look over a broad area. Problem is the battery probably only lasts around 1hour, but the batteries are smaller than a AA so its not exactly hard to carry a couple around
  14. http://www.google.com/search?q=Grid+Ts+Dancer 5 results down: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...cer-t35275.html First post: Search more, post less
  15. I've seen: http://www.transdirect.com.au/ And http://www.e-go.com.au On SAU before, have you tried an estimate from there websites?
  16. On the M3 today, two lane were become 1, I was doing about 99km/h, car in front was going a bit slow, maybe 90km/h, instead of speeding up when I hit the brakes, because they're lane was about to end. They put the right indicator on, and slow down even more and partially merge, fortunately there was room to switch lanes. I think he was nearly at a complete stop in a 100zone while merging. They had right of way when merging because they were in front, but obviously they don't understand merge laws at all
  17. They were timed last year if that helps
  18. I bought what are claimed to be, 5000K halogen bulbs from dealextreme here. They are in the Ford and they appear bright white, which is what I wanted, they are a little brighter than the old bulbs, but not super bright, as I never wanted to blind other drivers anyway They were about $35AUD, similar ones on ebay...
  19. Just be careful at night, I was there for only 3 weeks and saw a *lot* of roadkill every morning. During the day they're are great roads. The roads between Queenstown and Strahan, or just heading into Queenstwon from further South was extremely twisty and fun...even though I wasn't driving a good car
  20. Yes, I have got that before, depends on driving/conditions. The 550 is most likely a lot of highway/freeway driving at 100 or 110km/h.
  21. I run a 255/40/17 on a 9.5" rim, Federal advises the tyre is for 8-9", there is no stretch on the 9.5" or difficulty getting them on, they just fit
  22. Looks pretty good, so you have an aftermarket wing/spoiler blade? Very clean looking
  23. I've bought 2 or 3 times from Harold. Nice guy, good customer service.
  24. Traction tyres Rowville is the only place I know, but its more South Eastern
  25. Just curious why you have Royal Purple are your no 2 an Amsoil as no 3? I know Royal purple is a mix of group III/IV/V from what I've read, I haven't heard anything that good about it except the marketing, have you used it much? Amsoil I'm not so sure about either, I would personally have Mobil 1 in there somewhere, and German Castrol would be near the top for me I've used Amsoil, German Castrol, and normal Castrol, I can't recall if I used Mobil 1 at some stage.
