  1. Merry Christmas!
  2. Join the club, go to Deca, you don't need a skyline to join. If you don't know what Deca is, check "SAU DECA" on youtube, you'll understand If you want to do tracks, Driver Dynamics does Sandown for ~$265 or so for a *massive* amount of track time. Alternatively get a Cams license and join SAU events, Driver Training (ie. you can have someone else in the car with you) is around the ~$165 mark. Keep it off the streets, and that includes your mate, Deca is about $80, its a big drive but a lot of fun
  3. Make sure you determine if its surface rust or not, I was quoted for removing the entire panel out to cut the rust out.... When it was sanded back it was purely surface rust anyway, and there was plenty more on the car but all surface...
  4. That's a good price! Anyway, my one was posted 1 day later than yours, or around the same date, it hasn't arrived. Something did arrive at the post office today so hopefully that is it... Group buy price was $107 for the manual including postage (AUD), and I've got one spare
  5. Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows a good mechanic is the Box Hill area, this is not for a Skyline, just a Toyota.... Does anyone know a good mechanic in the area? My friend just got his first car... Thanks, Gareth
  6. Sweet, I organised a group buy on the workshop manual and they were apparently posted nearly 9 business days ago which is making me nervous. When were your posted/delivered? And how much did you pay out of curiosity?
  7. Looks nice, but have you looked in the for sale section of the forum? Quite a few cars for sale there and pretty nice too
  8. JPNZ translated the R33 manual, but not the R34 manual. I've ordered copies of the R33 manual and will advise if I get them....still waiting they were due in the next few days in they don't get delayed (full workshop manuals), ~$110 AUD/each. EDIT: considering the workshop manual for the R33 was finished in translation 2 weeks ago, and they're selling it in hard copy only, unless there's a few other companies translating it I've never seen an electronic copy of more than the engine manual.
  9. I know its a little off-topic but why not use cam gears? They made a big difference on my stock turbo's in terms of where the boost starts Good luck with the other issues, 300kw is pretty low for those turbo's and I think I saw your power graph is the RB26 sticky, didn't look too good (yet)
  10. In that case, I'm fairly sure that a non-airbag steering wheel would not be legal, but I can't remember where it says that in the law....so I'll let someone else check if they want to confirm. See the EPA/road worthy sticky there are links to the Vicroads rules there.
  11. Just to confirm that model R32 didn't come with an airbag? I switched back to stock to make my steering wheel legal again
  12. You can pick them up and carry them and they are fairly heavy (but can be moved around by carrying them)....does that help? lol
  13. I think its great that he called Ford and got put on hold, then called the police. He also stopped by hitting the brakes extremely hard and using the handbrake at the end....why not at the start? Oh, and unsure about the neutral thing, there is another thread somewhere on this forum, same topic
  14. Actually my old Ford '96 model, when you brake cruise control is de-activated automatically, you can accelerate but braking manually causes cruise control to back down.... Did some quick research, the newer Ford's often have issues with this deactivation mechanism. The other thing that would be interesting, the Ford's usually have On/Off and +/- on cruise control, could he have slowed down the cruise control until it stopped accelerating? That and the drop it into neutral....but I thought police would have suggested that anyway...
  15. A little late but last time I rang around, Obrien was $350, National was $250, Jim's windscreens franchise was $180 for a Ford windscreen. There was also a few other places that wouldn't answer there phones on weekends (even though they claimed to be 24*7)
  16. Do these fit R33 GTR's ? I know some people are using them on R32 GTR's.... And are they hard to fit?
  17. What do you have in terms of 255/40 or 265/40 17inch? Thanks
  18. Think its been posted in the past, I bought an expensive one from Super Tools in Melb, medium sized, works on Ohlins suspension, there was a cheaper one, can't remember where to buy it though Try searching....
  19. Direct clash with office christmas party ....unless I make it really late. lol
  20. Also see http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ku...es-t297021.html
  21. Your english seems fine to me 8 months winter....don't think I could deal with that, but the time clock on the car is an interesting concept, I was wondering how it survived without freezing
  22. Turbo timers are not legal in Vic. I've actually been modding my car to make it more legal since I got it....still a little bit of work to do
  23. FinalInspection sells some really good wheel cleaning stuff....
  24. In Canada they plug there engines into something to stop them from freezing, do you do the same thing over there? Or do you just defrost it the next day ? Are those temperatures only in winter?
