  1. Not sure who recommended it to me, but Autoglym metal polish for removing the dark black stain on the rear of the car (from the exhaust fumes). It works great, I also used it to remove some other black marks that other soaps simply won't remove, it removed them with ease. A big thanks to the forum member who recommended it to me. I just detailed with Final Inspection seal, I'll post some photo's up in the next week or two depending on how good it looks, also used there power wheel cleaner (amazing results on the rims) AND some Autoglym metal polish on the rims...
  2. One more question I think In 17x9.5, is +18 or +38 the correct offset for a R33 GTR. I think +18 is better but I'm confused...
  3. Nice bump there... I think in the oils sticky, someone mentioned a Used Oil Analysis (UOA) kit that you can buy. Personally I use German Castrol (GC) and switched to Amsoil recently, might switch back to GC again, its only 0w30 but its a thick 0w30 so closer to Mobil 1's 0w40. If you really need to do oil research Bob is the oil guy (the forum) is very useful.
  4. There is only one....it is Redline Lightweight shockproof
  5. Try the state-specific section of the forum. Vic has a sticky with known good tuners, I'm sure its the same in QLD
  6. Lol, don't forget the difference between 1-way, 2-way and 1.5-way diffs Very nice video though, its a very simple explanation.
  7. There are some nice 17's here Ozzy Car Sales 17 inch and super cheap too, a few 18's there too Personally, I've decided to look on yahoo auctions till the end of the week, since anything I like is going for >$1500 second hand, I'll probably buy some 17x9.5 +18offset rims , they don't show up on the website but they exist. I considered going 17x10 but the tyre cost is HUGE, 17x9.5 is big enough, factory is 17x9 so I thought I'll go a little bigger...
  8. Last time I went down there, about a year ago, very quiet, lots of cops, 4 cops on each side of the street patrolling. Clubs were quiet, and the streets were quiet due to the police presence. Its not the same as it used to be...
  9. You'll find the answer somewhere here
  10. I've done a bit of searching, tyres in the 10" rim size seem a little more difficult to obtain, so I'm going to buy 9.5" with the 18 offset, the tyres are slightly cheaper. Jesse Streeter can get the RPF1's in at a reasonable price <$1700 AUD as well. Oh, I never actually asked what your preferred size was for track work, I've assumed 17 as I can get a bit more profile on the tyres Thanks for your help everyone, any more comments are welcome as I'm not buying for another week or two
  11. I see second hand in Aus selling for more than Jesse Streeter's prices! Its not 1700 its less than $1700 I have not asked him about TE37's, he gets good prices on everything but I feel bad about asking him so many questions. I love these SE37's but they are going to go above $1500 second hand so I might as well buy new...
  12. That's for the ATESSA system, nothing to do with LSD/non-LSD. GTR's had LSD on the rear's out of the factory, if you have a R33 , finned diff's are Viccous LSD, non-finned is mechanical. I think R32 might have been the other way around. Either way, unless someone downgraded you to non-LSD you have one
  13. Group buying will make no difference, I confirmed with Jesse, I'll keep hunting on yahoo auctions but all the good rims do go for serious $$$
  14. +1 for Jesse Streeter
  15. If anyone else is hunting there are Enkei RP-F1s in 9/9.5/10 for <$1700, group buy anyone? lol Cheap for new rims, I'll bargain hunt a little longer and if I get bored I'll buy them, the 10" is 7.7kg / rim!
  16. I challenged one in court, was on the edge of the line, in traffic inside the intersection, the argument that I entered on a green light was not good enough. I got no demerit points after taking it to court but got the fine. That was ONLY because I had no previous fines, its going to be tough to get out of losing the points
  17. Sorry, can't edit, my final question is, is 9.5" or 10" better for track work? Its just casual stuff, I cannot confirm the 9.5" exists as the offset is 38 but I found somewhere else that advises you can get it in an 18 offset....any advice? R33 GTR
  18. These ones are about $1600: http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/enkei-r...43-p-24892.html And worth considering.
  19. Hmm, I'm confused on the choice now. I'm thinking the Enkei's in 17*9.5 or 17*10 probably 17*9.5 because its closer to factory and slightly easier to get that tyre size. EDIT: The offset of the 9.5 is 38 where the 10 is 18, so I think the 10" may be a better fit. Is that correct?
  20. Try the for sale section of the forum, its search-able and you can post a WTB thread
  21. Damn, they are superlight, I will make some more inquiries that is stretching the budget a little but 1.75kg / rim is quite a bit. BUT does anyone know if there is any truth to: From the EvolutionM forums If its safer to stick with the current rims I'm looking at I may stay that way, as I'm running out of $$$ anyway, I just want something as cheap as possible (the Hyper Zero-1 I can get for under $1400) that will last as I'm not a serious track racer, just casual fun
  22. Hi, Does anyone know anything about the: "Lenso Project D", "Tyrepro D1R", "Lenso D1R" rims? Are they above the quality of Rota wheels or similar? I found: 17x9+30 white/rg - hypersilver 17x10+15 black/rg They're supposed to be lightweight, but I'm having trouble confirming. The possible alternative, and a little more pricey is Zero-1 Hyper: http://www.doall.jp/wheels/zero-1%20hyper/...-1%20hyper.html But its going to cost ~$1300 landed if its still available, they're 9.36kg for a 9.5" rim, fairly light, does anyone know them? They look good... I'm mostly worried about using them on a track so lightweight/cheap is more important that looks. I've been looking around but not finding any rims that I really want for a reasonable price... Just looking for an opinion on this. Thanks, Gareth
  23. Sorry, still need more advice, the Japanese market still has plenty of rims but not super cheap at the moment Does anyone know anything about the: "Lenso Project D", "Tyrepro D1R", "Lenso D1R" rims? Are they above the quality of Rota wheels or similar? I found: 17x9+30 white/rg - hypersilver 17x10+15 black/rg They're supposed to be lightweight, but I'm having trouble confirming. The possible alternative, and a little more pricey is Zero-1 Hyper: http://www.doall.jp/wheels/zero-1%20hyper/...-1%20hyper.html But its going to cost ~$1300 landed if its still available, they're 9.36kg for a 9.5" rim, fairly light, does anyone know them? They look good...
  24. Lol, I'm also after rims, same offset, 9 / 9.5 or 10 wide, 9.5 is my preferred choice. Also on yahoo auctions, nearly bidded on the Advan Tri-spokes. What are you after? I'm bargain hunting <1K if possible for 17 *9 lightweight rims, I don't care much about style, don't mind the rim been badly scratched, all I care is that its balanced and not cracked Does anyone know if you can repair a rim if its not balanced? There are no cracks and the rims are cheap but the seller says its not balanced...they're really nice rims otherwise... EDIT: 1 of the 4 rims is not balanced
  25. Ignore that other poster, SAU encourages real men/women on these forums who take it to the track/DECA for real speed
