Where Could I Get A Nismo R32 Intercooler?
JTCC replied to GSX-R35's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
that is a very early model nismo intercooler that is made by ARC. Those are pretty rare also. I emailed for better pics, but no response. It does look pretty beat up, so I passed as well. It has been up for a very long time. I bought a decent newer style r32/r33 off the auctions. Only one i've seen in about 6 months. After some fin straightening It looks different than my ARC intercooler. Notice how it triangles out between the rows of fins . I dont remember that on my nismo. I am not home, so I cant check. -
pretty sure there are 5,000 homologated group A cars. Then there is 560 "nismo" cars which are group A evolution. The red car pictured is an actual group A race car lol. It was an add for nissan at the time. They had to sell 5,000 models to be in group A. But group A rules at the time said you could use special parts if you made at least 500 to be sold to the public. So that is the reason the Nismo models were made with different aero etc. So they could use it in actual group A series.

So in other words yes, you are missing some car. No other reason to really own a skyline is there? Even then, from looking at other owners of GTST, your car seems a lot lighter. Either you have done some extensive weight reduction or the scales are not accurate. I was giving stock weights.
-
You sure that is correct? I thought the series 1 r32 gtr weighed 1430 KG and the series 2 were 50 KG heavier. The r33 is 1530 KG....the r34 even hevier.

Hello all, I have purchased a used nismo intercooler for r32 GTR. The middle logo style with the rising sun "O" in red. I am in the process of restoring it to like new condition and was wondering about the lettering paint. Is it a flat, semi-gloss or full out gloss paint? I went to the local store and started spraying random cans lol and the flat seemed almost to flat. Didn't have a dark rich color. They only seem to carry gloss red. No semi or flat. It doesn't look gloss to me but its hard to really tell since its been used. Just has the basic little chips in the paint and am looking to refresh it a bit. I have looked at what pics I could find on the internet and the lettering seems darker than what flat provides. Looking for someone who bought one new or has one in very good condition to give me their input. Thanks!

Marty are you looking for Doc? This is some seriously old news. Its continuously powered by gas to fwd. Electric to the rear. This allows the car layout to be better designed aerodynamically. Last I heard, they were having some serious issues with the electric side of things. So it could stay FWD if they don't figure it out. Which would kind of suck. Would like to see it perform as it was intended, not some half finished product. But maybe they figured it out now, I don't keep up with it to much.

Purchasing R32 Gtr ...but Some Issues
JTCC replied to Velict's topic in General Automotive Discussion
lol this thread is funny. Anyways, back in the day, I bought a manual 240sx. Couldn't drive a manual AT ALL. Had my LITTLE brother test drive it for me with me in the car. Bought it.....30 minutes later....I could drive a manual lol. It's not hard. All 3 of my vehicles are manuals now. The real story of this post should of been. So I had an amazing opportunity to purchase a GTR! But I got to scared so I didn't. If you knew how to drive a manual, you would of bought it. I haven't rode a bike in 10 years......bet I can pick it up in 5 seconds. -
Nismo/greddy Sump Vs. Tomei/rips Sump ?
JTCC replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nismo pump and N1 are different items. The nismo pump has stronger gear than n1. N1 pump is 200 bucks. Nismo pump is 700. Its fine how it is, no need to really change in my opinion. I don't think he would have to overfill the sump since he has the sump extension already on there. That is the point of the extension, more oil. N1 pump = 15010-24U01 Nismo pump = 15010-RR580 -
1990 Nismo Gtr Or 1991 Australian Delivered 1991 Gtr
JTCC replied to pittyoo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
50g that is interesting. I have seen a few for sale in USD around 25k +/- landed. Seems to be the average that I have seen. Some are super clean to. -
To bad that book isnt from like 97 or so. That would be sweet. These are still the coolest nismo items ever made in my opinion. But I think these are more r33 era. Not really sure. I know they were in the r33 GTLM car with matching back seat. Nismo also sent me that sticker with GT500 race harness. Kind of weird they send old logo sticker with a harness that expired in 2014 lol.

they have been discontinued for a while now. That is the only set I have ever personally seen for sale. So I bought them.

The What Parts Did You Have Delivered Today Thread?
JTCC replied to Gts-t's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Got a little surprise today. r32 knee pads with instruction manual lol. Got caught up on the Japanese sports page also haha -
I have a few items that are in those brochures. These are not in the brochure, think they came out during r33 era? They are old though. Horn and wheel I have seen the old school intercooler, but they are never in good condition so I always pass on them. Not to mention, they are still expensive lol. They are made by ARC.
-
yahoo japan!!.....they weren't cheap lol
-
only 14k in usd. Didn't know USD and AUD were so far apart. Picked these up recently. Brand new never used Then got this intercooler, going to clean it up and straighten out some fins. Probably give it a fresh repaint on the logo to make look "like" new.
-
yea that is a real butt raping. They are way to ugly for that lol. Maybe if I was a millionaire and 14k felt like 2 dollars. Otherwise I'd go with a more tasteful option.

Title says it all. Very interested. Part number is 21300-RS583. I am in the USA, will pay for all shipping. No worries. Please help a brother out! Thanks!

yea I had a fine spec final edition engine priced out for me. I believe it was just the long block, so i would have to supply everything else to make it actually run etc. It was 10k USD. I am not sure what all is in included in the price for the one shown in the picture.
-
Not to sure, but I have heard the new GTR brakes are kind of a waste. Heavy and not that good for the money compared to some of the higher end packages out there.
-
Think I'll just do the -9. Seems like the only complaint with them is "linear power is boring". Oh darn lol. Being that I am away from home for nearly 10 months out the year, I'm sure anytime in that car will be impressive to me rather than my daily turbo diesel truck. When I do rebuild, I plan on going up in displacement. So I will just get new turbos then. Hopefully not for a couple of years. Just depends on stock engine life.
-
Nothing like a $4,500 intake box lol. With pipes I'm sure its pretty expensive. Kind of crazy, knowing you can get a fine spec built rb26 for 10k.......lol doesn't seem to add up. I still wont be surprised if that intake ends up in my hands though. Damn it man. Glad I'm single with no kids hahahaha.
-
Yea I've been looking around. That thread is huge also haha. I guess I'm just more worried about what others have been talking about that the dyno doesn't show. Feel while actually driving. I'll probably just go the dash -9's. Screw it, sometimes you have just bite the bullet and see where it gets you. If you are not satisfied then spend more money and go up a size. It's just money right lol. I more so made my initial post to bring up the 2530 kai since I cant really seem to find out to much about them and they seem to be right in the middle of this -9 or -5 option. I'm sure any choice will put a smile on my face realistically.

That is good to hear. But e85 is hard to find around me. I think the closest gas station with e85 is about a 30 minute drive from my residence.
