  1. My main concern is, will the car run perfectly on the 1000cc injectors? i dont want it to not idle well or run just "fine". I will speak to the tuner later today about it, but its looking like i will just cancel and wait a bit longer. it definitely did not seem right to just up the fuel pressure on the stock injectors. The thing is the tuner is very reputable among the skyline and silvia community and i have heard nothing but good things about him.
  2. Thanks guys, would it be better to just get some s15 or 550 cc injectors? as im not planning to run e85 and im only going for around 250kw
  3. I have a r33gtst that is booked for a tune tomorrow. I have all the supporting mods like r34 highflow, power fc etc. My goal is about 240 atw I bought a 1000cc topfeed xspurt injector kit from scottynm35 and even though i assumed they were too big, i was told that they are a much more modern design, can flow well at all power levels and therefore would be suitable for my application. however the tuner tells me they are way too big and will not be suitable for my goals, he told me he can safely run the stock injectors by upping the fuel pressure with my aftermarket fuel reg. What do you guys think? Thanks
  4. I dont think they are leaking. Just looking really worn and for preventative maintainance for an upcoming tune. I found some aeroflow hoses on ebay that look good. Does anyone know if 63mm or 57mm hoses will fit 60mm piping properly. Or do you need 60mm hoses specifically?
  5. Was looking at replacing the stock rubber joiner hoses on my r33s intake piping, to silicon ones. I need: -2× 60mm 90° bends -1× 60mm -> 65mm hose approx 100mm in length -1× 70mm hose 70mm in length - 1× 60mm hose 110mm in length. I have tried to look for info and where to get silicon joiners of these sizes from, but i cant really find anything just after some suggestions as to where i can get these silicon hoses and what brands to go for (is sca or autobarn brand good?). Also will 63mm (2.5 inch) fit over 60mm and 65mm tubing without any issues? I appreciate any help, and im located in melbourne west suburbs.
  6. Sorry, got them mixed up. But wouldnt a faulty rad cap allow air into the system because of the overflowing reservoir? I was just suggesting as a friends car overheated due to a faulty rad cap.
  7. And wouldnt the oil and coolant be contaminated with each other, if i was a blown head gasket?
  8. Get a new radiator cap, sometimes they get old and the spring wont function thus not letting water into the engine at operating temp. Also do a proper bleed, top up the reservoir past the full line. Top up the coolant, turn the heater on full and whilst the car is running loosen the coolant bleed screw near the front of the plenum until coolant comes out. Just my 2c on what i would do
  9. I was using a turbosmart boost t set to 10psi on the old turbo. the new wastegate actuator is 18psi but i had to leave the t on because i forgot to buy a vacuum line. Planning on getting an ebc though
  10. Ok, everything is all good, must have been degreaser or coolant residue. Where should the bov pipe vacuum be connected to? Ive just discovered mine has been blocked off with a screw.
  11. Ok im tripping out right now. Started the car and took it for a short drive around the block to get it to operating temp, without hitting boost at all. Now there is white steam like smoke coming from the turbo. Im hoping its just degreaser residue or coolant. None of the lines are leaking and i made sure to drip some oil into the turbo before starting the car. Any ideas, im really hoping i havent stuffed this up :s
  12. Im in melbourne
  13. Thanks for the help everyone :-) Got the turbo back on, the braided water line was a pain to get back on but overall the whole process was fairly easy. Does anyone know where to get a metal intake pipe or how to make one?
  14. Hey guys im looking for a stock turbo heatshield. Also looking for -R33 gtst factory jack -metal intake pipe for rb25det If anyone has one or knows where i can get any of these from at a reasonable price please let me know. Located in melbourne west suburbs Cheers
  15. +1 to the oem koyo replacement.
  16. Why no black?
  17. Got the turbo off without much trouble, i took lots of pics and wrote down the steps i took so i will probably post a diy for others once i finish. I got the mamba braided line kit which included the turbo gaskets, nuts and studs. However the stock hardlines look fine and the waterline that goes from the top of the engine (just under rear of rocker covers) looks impossible to get to. I was thinking of just using the stock water lines or just swapping the easy waterhose with the braided one. What is the benefit of braided lines if the stock ones are hardlines anyways?
  18. Pulled the hose off the inlet pipe and there appears to be no oil residue which is good news.
  19. R33 gtst power fc with hand controller?
  20. Have a search and if you can't find anything make a thread with your wheel and tyre questions.
  21. A have a problem guys, one of the bolts attaching the downpipe to the turbo is snapped off. Any way of getting it out? Im guessing im going to have to drill it out.
  22. Ok great i see the kit on ebay i will look into itThanks again : )
