  1. As jack said mate if your crunching gears at hi rpm your syncros are most likely glazed and 90% worn out. How many kms are on the box? how much power do you have? how hard is it driven? what oil have you been using and how often has it been changed? The answers to these questions will tell you if it is time for a birthday or not.
  2. Thanks Ash, I look fwd to them.
  3. Very nice Ash, I like how tidy and neat the cabin of you car is, i am building up my R33 now i am at the stage of trying to sort out where to put stuff in the cabin and would love to see some detailed pictures of the parcel tray and the dash and centre console set up if that would be o'k. Cheers.
  4. Well maybe it does not completely fall off but the boost drops slightly and it does not feel as good at 6K and up compared 4-5K. It is still nice to drive maybe i am just more used to it now. Anyways you will love it i have attached the dyno sheet for ya. It is a std engine with HKS 256 264 cams. I look fwd to getting the two cars out on the track mate.
  5. Noddy, I am currently using the GTBB3071R and have done for a few years now. With the 0.64 turbine hsg it runs out of breath from about 6200 rpm. I have been thinking about getting the 0.64 slightly modified instead of going all the way to the 0.83 hsg but i don't know. Will you still be running the std log style manifold? With this turbo it has great bottom end and pick up but i really miss the top end rush of some other setups.
  6. What do they do to them? i have never come across this before, diffs yes trans no?
  7. Thats what i have and love it, tows better than the 04 4WD TD rodeo i used to use. V8 all the way.
  8. Well the Stag is defiantly going in 2010 it is a great car but it is time for a change. So we are thinking about the SS wagon as a replacement and the other two are my little side projects mmmmmmmm.
  9. Do you reckon the std cover behind the back seat in a R33 will do? and then just a cover on the top?
  10. How well does the firewall need to seal? if you have holes for harnesses to run through will that be ok or do you need fit a sealed, through plug?
  11. I have run a fair few easy 1:11's but i am a shit house driver and that was on street tyres. Any where around the 1:10's on semis is not too bad going.
  12. OMG rip little BP.
  13. What you talking about Roy? I inquired about the AiM My Chron 4 and the MXL today hopefully should hear something back tomorrow.
  14. They are just so so expensive Duncan, and an expense i was not ready for.
  15. I took our std esky and filled it up, and that done my R33 GTSt ok.
  16. Cars are funny some times.
  17. Same, O well, hopefully not too many more hurdles. Got a reply about the IQ3 dash today, they don't have a interface with the Apexi ECU but hopefully we can work around that some how for not too much coin.
  18. Well after a frustrating day on the car i have made new mounts for the drivers seat twice as the first ones retained the std front mount, but the seat fouled on it when i slid the seat back for my height so i had to chop out the mounts and weld up some new ones directly to the floor. I just have to pick up some RPM side mount rails on monday to fit to the sides and brackets i have made then fingers crossed it will all be complete. I fitted the OMP passenger foot rest and primed up the passenger seat mounts, and fitted the harness support plate so fingers crossed this side is complete. So i cut and fitted the dash today also, so excited as it was starting to look like a car again until i found that the dash bar runs directly where the factory cluster is ment to be . So i need to sort out what i am going to do about gauges? Do i buy a shit load of cheapies? or do i spend up and buy a Stack dash or similar? Does anyone have any ideas on alternative dash? Also i was inspecting the sump i had moddified and found that they had not cleaned up where they have cut the sump with the grinder so they is a shit load of metal in my sump that needs to be ground off and cleaned up. So the baffel plate needs to be cut out so i can clean up the grinder cuts woohoo, i am so so so pissed off. So all in all i made one step forward and two steps back, happy new year. I will post up some pics and more info on Monday as i hope to kick a few goals then. For now it is beer O'Clock.
  19. Sam do not use the tig, way to much heat. Just use a mig and tack it in diagonals, make sure all your replacement panels are a good fit then slow and steady is the key mate.
  20. Very cool Ben, gee wiz your passenger seat is going to be a long way back. I mounted mine on the hump so the passenger sits a little higher than me but i will not have one very often. What's the idea behind the VY ABS unit?
  21. What exactly did you do to the rear cradle bushes?
  22. I thought i was loosing my marbles.
