  1. Nice vids Dumhead, jeez that S13 turns in.
  2. Yeh and the rear wheel looks more blurred in the pics than the front. Wheelspin .
  3. Yeh its a nice fast track but the Datto driver is bloody good, I don't think he has a power advantage over the Viper. Check out his mid corner and corner exit speeds and use of the brakes, oh to be anywhere near as quick
  4. Camera car is a race Viper, the winged blue Datsun 240Z is driven by a 70 year old, it has a Buick V6 engine. Circuit is Mosport in Canada, its no Aussie goat track. Will the Viper get past the Zed?
  5. The point of heel and toeing is to maintain braking while changing down ie your right foot works both the accelerator and the brake at the same time. With a syncromesh gearbox I can't see the point in double declutching, you can still match revs with speed without it. For racing it would be just too slow anyway. Well it should be
  6. Have a look at this video about 30 seconds in. Make sure the volume is up and then name the 'you will know what'
  7. In 75coupe's case my bet is that there is a problem eg calipers slow to release, dragging pads, soft rotors. I just know personally too many who are using Ultimates with good results to believe otherwise.
  8. May try a set then. If they are no good I know where you live
  9. Try again with the motor pic, am I banned because its not an inline? Zed has a FJ20ET, great donk.
  10. Here is my ex old school hammering out of the top turn at QR onto the front straight. And here is the motor for the current project, which is.....
  11. You see this is what worries me, useless statements like 'Ferodos are great'. Which Ferodos FFS?
  12. Siddins blew the 240Z's motor during ther rally. Apparently he was running a very low ratio diff which meant max RPM in 5th for extended periods. Camshaft broke into several pieces, severe collateral damage was anticipated
  13. Any circuit user reports on the SR&T's?
  14. For circuit work you need to know the actual tread width of the tyre, not the numbers, in order to make an informed choice. Rim width should equal or be up to 30mm wider than the tread width.
  15. Interesting, most people criticise Ultimates but I've found them fine for doing sprints at QR. Rotors wore a bit though, maybe that would happen with any pad, I don't know.
  16. So, how fast through turn one, with and without 2/4wd/ aero aids? Seriously, but I doubt anyone goes more than 200, the rest is piss and wind
  17. I don't follow , your point is?
  18. Prices quoted are a bit high but Ultimates are the all round best bang for buck, unless you are going racing.
  19. If the ride height has been lowered then the roll centers will be lower too, which means you will need stiffer ARB's. Lower roll centers = more body roll, all else being equal.
  20. It looks like the SRT's will only be sold through 'selected' outlets, read 'few' outlets. Pretty stupid if that is so, perhaps they are trying to be exclusive, and expensive. I've heard they are up near Ferodo 2500 prices, bugger them if thats the case.
  21. Yeh I've had Koni Yellows revalved, turned out good. Make sure you discuss what revalving is going to be done and why.
  22. Yeh a good fit makes sense. An example of 'commercial reality'. Ferodo DS2500 brake pads for my calipers, $180 in the US, $305 in AU, both retail.
  23. If they all pass the required standard, how do you know which will protect you best? Anyone who thinks price is a guide is ignoring commercial reality eg place of manufacture, volume of manufacture, number of middlemen, price markups etc.
