Looks good bulldog! Go take a few cars for a drive taking Merli's checklist with you! Welcome to SAU mate.
  2. I don't know of giveaways that aren't free.
  3. Don't let this deter you though. Lingeringsoul attacked the job himself and found it relatively easy to do and from what I know it's one of hte first jobs he's done on the car.
  4. Matt from Shannons hey? looks like I was nice to the right person! I've been looking into Shannons insurance.... but one question I had was if insured my car telling you I was doing about 10,000kms per year.. and I actually did 15,000 and had an accident... how would that affect my insurance? And roughly what's the price difference I'm looking at if I drive about 10,000kms per year against driving it for 40,000kms per year? Liz.
  5. I'm not sure on pricing but one mistake I made is not checking hte part before it was installed. Make sure you do this!!! Mainly checking for welds and other restrictions.. all welds should either be on the outside or ground back so not to cause any undue turbulance and restriction.
  6. I had a 3inch split dump pipe from place in Sydney, the welding wasn't ground back causing more turbulance rather than less, and also the pipe wasn't a direct fit and exhaust hole was actually smaller than stock causing the wastegate to not open fully causing significant overboosting. The exhaust was done by HiTech in Sydney, and have offered to replace the part free of charge with a correct part. I would recommend HiTech to anyone getting an exhaust, they know what they are doing and released the mistake straight away and fixed me up. At least I know now to check the parts before they get put on!
  7. the postwhores are quite a close knit group of really good friends... hence why they chat in the whore thread alot. I don't understand why everyone gets so upset!
  8. oops sorry, I mis-read it! sounds like you know what you are doing PAV just a bit of food for thought... i pretty much have a stock car... and the power delivery is second to none.. it's just been set up really well. Ignition timing advanced, fmic, boost controller, high flow cat and 3inch cat back... had a split dump pipe bu the quality wasn't the best so I put a stock dump pipe back on and it is really running perfectly.. couldn't ask for better! Anyhow, you sound like you know what you are doing, good luck with it! Liz.
  9. you really are drunk! Berowra is a good option for many people actually. Very underrated little suburb! I'm looking at Northern Beaches but you get very little for your $$$ but then again the long term benefits will be better. The Hills... will be a good option but with so much space out there it'll be a while before you see the value of the property really grow. However the new Rouse Hill Shopping Centre will get the prices moving in the right direction for current property owners!
  10. really!?!!?!? where were you!!!?? lol jk spotted a white 33 and a gunmetal 33 10mins later on Mona Vale Rd
  11. I agree. Even boosting to the capabilities of the stock turbo you won't NEED a power fc. But if you think you might want to mod down the track (and you probably will want to! lol), perhaps a turbo upgrade.. might be best off sending the money now on an engine management system... you'll get a little more power and a little more fuel effciency in your current set up. I really don't think you need either though, you'll get the most out of your stock car if you get that exhaust, high flow cat and really open her up!
  12. uh oh! LOOK OUT! Be careful ando, you wouldn't want to get yourself into any more bets you can't handle now would you?
  13. sorry, was starting to get confused as to what track we were talking about!!! I know now! I'll leave it to my google pictures to take a look
  14. I use 38 front and 36 back... got some fairly soft wet weather tyres
  15. I'd expect it from mona.. but not you steveo

  20. I heard that they had a 5 or 10year extension... so hopefully not for a few years!
  21. Hi Vic - Tyre wear will be minimal so I wouldn't be too concerned about that. I wouldn't reccommend that you use semi slicks for this day if I were you!
