  2. Looking to sell my Hypertune plenum and 102mm throttle body to suit RB26 as it is surplus to my needs. Has been used for less than 1000km so is in almost new condition. Looking for $2500 or will swap for R34 GTT front brakes + $2100.
  3. Correct. I've been running MCA Street Performance Series coilovers in my M35 since March and honestly cannot fault them. I've also had a full car load of passengers as well as a loaded boot and they held up perfectly fine. MCA are a company I wouldn't doubt in the least.
  4. Let's not forget the brand new SUV's self-levelling units that end up looking like a strobe light on the front of the car on QLD roads...

  7. Thankfully not If the OEM HID headlamp setup is legal and safe in other countries it should be legal globally IMO. Who are we to question the revenue raisers known as Road Policing Command/ADR though...
  8. Taking the wagon to the police station to clear the defect tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can explain to the officer the complications of attempting to change to non-HID headlights...
  9. This is pretty much the extent of the information I've found. It only quotes retro-fitting into vehicles that were not originally supplied with HID headlamps. I have, however obtained conformation from a genuine Nissan spare parts supplier that they're available for distribution through dealerships within Australia. My VIN within the Nissan computer system also shows my car was factory fitted with HID headlamp units.

Colour, wavelength and UV emissions are the only criteria that must meet requirements if under that output. Currently trolling through the fun that is ADR Legislation 46/00 to find the hard evidence. I'll update when I find it...
  11. Bugger. Looks like I'm chucking in some Supercheap Auto specials to pass roady in that case. I've never had any issues with the headlights as I often drive at night and have made it past 18 months without being pulled over. Oh well.. Cheers for the input!
  12. Scratch that, they are factory Xenon. So, does anyone have any laws regarding factory Xenon headlights?
  13. So I finally had a run in with some lovely members of the QPS Road Policing command today and they decided that my factory HID's in my NM35 are illegal. Does anyone have any resources on their legality?
  14. Installed roof racks and roof basket, 3" turbo back straight pipe to a single 3" blast pipe and took the nugget to Powercruise for the weekend. Scrubbed up alright...
  15. As the title suggests, is it possible to remove the front CV shafts on an NM35 Stagea without any ill-effects? I have already removed the front tailshaft so currently there is zero power going to the front diff and the front CV shafts are just passively spinning with wheel rotation On a side note, here's a terrible iPhone quality photo of my stag rolling on all 4 Garsons for once

  17. In regards to suspension, I went with MCA Street Performance series coilovers and I cannot fault them. They team at MCA are incredibly helpful in making sure you get the suspension set up just the way you want, the coilovers themselves are of extremely high build quality and the ride quality is brilliant. The only possible downside is the price once you go above their Blue Series but quality reflects that.
  18. Foot-on skids are a no go without the above recommendation. Tip it in while in Tip-Tronic 2nd and have some fun
  19. M35 with no mechanical problems (aside from poke but -22 offset isn't exactly conservative...) 18x11 fronts with 235/40 18x12.5 rears with 275/35
  20. Found the issue! It turns out the guy before me didn't install the metal o-ring that seals the wastegate valve. New Turbosmart gate on the way...
  21. Thank you, all the above have been thoughts and this has confirmed my suspicions on where to start. The exhaust currently dumps at the firewall so there is zero obstruction. The previous owner only had an eBay wastegate on so that will be the first thing to come off and be replaced. Cheers

  23. Hi all, new to the 4g63t world and I figured this would be the go-to section to ask questions. I am purchasing a vehicle running a 4g63t from an Evo 3. Apparently it was running wonderfully although untuned until parked up 2 years ago. It had been started regularly but not driven on the road. The motor and turbo (eBay spec GT3582 A/R .70 'Anti Surge' turbo) look, sound and seem generally healthy. The problem is that the car now makes no boost. The turbo spins and spools happily with no shaft play or funky noises, the motor revs happily but no boost gets to the motor. My thoughts are that there is an issue with the external wastegate or actuator, BOV or a serious boost leak. Would I be correct in assuming so?
