I've noticed that my R32 (early) gearbox is now leaking. It's been a bit recalictrant through the gears for a while (still fine though), and 5th syncro is crap until the fluid is warmed up. The options (cheapest to most expesive) are: 1. replace the seals only, run redline in it 2. replace seals, rebuild with new bearings and syncros 3. replace box entirely with new nissan late model series 3 GTR box (3500? + labour) 4. rebuild box with OS gearset (4700 just jap + 1400 new parts + labour) Depending on the prognosis of how much (1) is, I am leaning towards option 3. As the later boxes are pull type, and mine is push, is it simply a case of reversing the slave on the box and using the existing fork? Oh and is is a bitch of a job to swap a box over? any advice?

who knows? it's mayhem in there... now that I've put spray on the charger lead, the ones trying to get off the barge can't do so haha

they're back. unbelievable. there is ant dust and spray everywhere now. I've wrapped the power lead in an old bike inner tube (rubber) hope that deters them.

Just to confirm that these are genuine, can you post pictures of the rear of the wheel, and the volk stickers on the inside with the offset. They also do not have the "FORGED" stamp anywhere on the front?

i checked it last night, and it seems to be ant free... I'm taking it out for a long drive tomorrow, I'll freak if they start coming at me from the vents!! I'll keep the ant rid and talc solutions in mind; also I heard they hate cucumber skins??

because Roy is special. mate, get your hands on some old RE55s - as you know they're much wider and squarer than any road tyres. no point getting the guard clearancing wrong, if you're going to do it.

So I don't drive the GTR often, and in winter it sits under a cover. Yesterday i get home from work and i notice a conga line of ants going up the power cord into the engine bay, with the trickle charger on. the little bastards were everywhere in the engine bay, and a few in the cabin too! What do I do to keep em off?? I started it up and ran it for about ten mins, then shut the bonnet... they seem to have evacuated a bit. time will tell though, this afternoon, if they're still there...

may be a red herring but I recall reading that stagea rears are longer than gtr32 - the shock length is R34 length?? you might want to check that first.

You sure the TEs are 9" wide? I though the only TEs for gtr offset of +22 were 18 x 9.5 +22?

sweet!! my old man has an order down for the Passat CC - R36 engine & drivetrain, swoopy 4 door sedan... SWEET!

ohhh i just realised that these are allblitz's LMs... they're sweet - I've always wanted some but too tight arse, but I want them in dark grey. don't forget that with a slightly lower offset as well, (+20 for LMs and +30 for GTR34), the wheel sits 10mm further out than the other wheel. that will mean that when the front wheel is cantered in (ie turning), the edge of the outside tyre will contact the inner guard sooner... so less castor again for you!!! oh no!!
