Anyone done it before? I don't know how you can just pull it off. I have managed to get WD40 between the rubber and the metal and it still won't budge.

Interested in the Brix. Condition of seat? What type of rail is it? Should have a model number on it. Is it driver or passenger side? Pics to [email protected] please. Do you know how much to post to Nelsons Plains nsw 2324 (near Newcastle) ? Cheers Chris

Hey Everyone, Has anyone removed the leather hand brake cover on a 32? The part you grab with your hand when you use the handbrake. I am trying to put a drift button on and I can't get the cover to budge. I have removed the circle cylinder thingy at the end (around the button) but I can't get the cover too move. Does anyone have some tips for me? Cheers Chris

Drift Button $15 Delivered

I am trying to get the handbrake cover off and it won't budge. Does anyone know if there is a trick to them? There is a ring at the end that I started to pull out, but it sounds like it's attached to the spring. It's a leather cover, but I think all the 32's are... -

*shrugs* it just isn't doing it for me. I like a more solid spoke. Besides, I couldn't be bothered painting...haha -

Hey Dude, I Photoshoped them onto my car and I wasn't the biggest fan. I think it's the amount of gap between the spokes. I may be interested if I don't find anything else. Cheers Chris -

Interested if you are willing to post to Newcastle, NSW (2 hours north of Sydney) or work out somewhere to meet maybe...not sure how far from Sydney you are, but I couldn't drive further than Sydney for them as I don't have a license so i'd be asking a mate to drive me there... Better pics of rims/tread to [email protected] please Cheers Chris 0412 49 59 58 -

R32 Drifters! Question On Your Coilovers!
eXc replied to DriftSquad's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'd agree with that too. I haven't driven my car with the new suspension except up the road (I live on dirt, country road with pot holes everywhere) and it was MUCH better than the standard suspension. It turned sharper and stuck to (gravel) road much better. This is with re-treads on the front and bald tyres on the back (temporary tyres while it's off the road for a while) -
Gday Guys, I wrecked the boots that cover the outside (near the wheel) tie rod ball joint. Anyone know where I can get another/what the correct name or part number is for them? They were pretty much stuffed anyways, but takeing the tie rod off killed them good and proper. Cheers Chris

R32 Drifters! Question On Your Coilovers!
eXc replied to DriftSquad's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I drifted on the stockies for 8 months!! Haha I finally have HSDs in my car now. I haven't drifted with them yet, so time will tell, but I am sure they will be sooooooooooo much better than stock. I know SydneyKid doesn't agree that it's the best setup. I was gonna try what SK recommended, but decided I couldn't afford to 'waste' the money if it didn't do what I hoped for. So I went down this ave. And they are pretty cheap nowadays too. $1599 I think they are. -
Removing Hicas On R32 Gtr

Gary, So the line I have highlighted in my photos/diagram is the right line? Cheers Chris -
Alright thanks SydneyKid, do you agree with the 8 degrees being 'safe'?

Removing Hicas On R32 Gtr

I am confused. My lines have small hose for hose #1 , and large hose for hose #2 ....how are you supposed to join them with a simple 150mm long hose? I must have the wrong line, but I have followed the directions right as far as I know? It looks to me that #2 is high pressure...there is no-where to attach a normal rubber hose without making a fitting ? If it is the right one, I have no idea how I am supposed to get the hose off there with the metal clamps. The top of my engine bay looks like the picture posted by meep. Picture1 - http://image-cache.skylinesaustralia.com/f...-1140862108.jpg The underside looks like this Picture 2 http://home.kooee.com.au/exup250/hicas.jpg I could disconnet it under the car, then run a longer hose up, and use a fitting at the bottom...but this doesn't seem right based on what SydneyKid is saying? I am worried I am about to rip out the wrong hose. either that or the wrong place, cause i can't see it being a 10 minute job like SK made said Is the line in red the right place to put the link? First post updated to include car (r32 gtst 4 door) Reading DJR81's post makes me wonder if I can get much more castor out of mine. Then again, SydneyKid did recomend more castor when I told him those same settings ~6 months ago...So maybe I haven't wasted my money.

Gday Guys, R32 4 Door GTST I have got some adjustable castor rods on the way. I plan to install them this weekend. 1) Do I just get as much Castor as I can out of them? 2) Is there such a thing as too much? How much is too much? 3) Stock, my car has 5 degrees left and 6 degrees right, what sort of numbers should I be aiming for? 4) Should I just make them the length of the standard ones, then get the shop that does the alignment handle it? The setup is for drifting (but also street driven) I've got my HSD Coilovers in, this weekend I am doing Castor and HICAS removal (SK... I am gonna do a tutorial with photos on it so you don't have to keep telling newbies like me how to do it) Cheers Chris

So the spacer is just a threaded pipe? So I could make it up quite easlier? I haven't even looked how the steering arms attach as yet, I am just guessing from what you said. Run out? Well depends on how you define it. I am not at the point where I need the lock every corner, however I have wanted the extra lock on quite a few occasions. Cheers Chris

Gday Everyone, I have finally organised some money (and set it aside) for some HSD coilovers. I will be looking into castor. I was also going to buy after market tie rods so I can get more steering lock. This setup is for drifting. It is not a dedicated drifter, but monthly it will see the track. I was told the other day by a friend that he has just put a spacer (washers) on his tie rod to give him more steering lock? I don't understand exactly what he did as I haven't seen it, but I assume that someone here would know. Is there anything wrong with doing this? Is it not safe etc etc? If there is a thread on how it is done, please link me, otherwise I can get him to help me. If it isn't safe or whatever. Are after market tie rods safe? Does anyone know of some good ones to look at for a 32 GTST? Cheers Chris

Hey Guys, Just thought I'd help motivate those that haven't done this yet. I finally got around to cleaning my engine bay. All I used was some Citric Degreaser,a stiff brush, a cloth and the garden hose. It's quite easy if anyone was considering doing it themselves. Took me about an hour. I will get around to getting all the finer bits at some point, but yeah, it's easy I also washed, cleaned, polished and waxed, vaccumed, and cleaned the interior. Still have to do door jams. Took me like 10 hours all up. Was my first time doing this sorta stuff. I highly recomened the paint cleaner, it cleaned up scratches and all my car looks muccccccch better now Anyways, here's some pics of the engine bay.

R32 gtst 4 Door FMIC, boost=0.8 bar 3" cat back zorst I get 420 kms of a tank in town and 470 on the highway if I keep it below 100, otherwise i get about 400 a tank if that. It used to be an auto in Japan, they changed it to manual, so I am guessing final ratio is wrong now. Granny Driving with that consumption. Occasional squirt. Insurance, Third Party Property with Just Cars is $860 i think

Just thought I'd post up, that with the oil cooler, on a hot day, after 1 hour driving, i got up to 90 degrees on the hot side, and 55 degrees on the cold side. On a cold day, i get to about 60 degrees on the hot side and 20-30 on the cold side.
