is it simply a matter of setting '0.8 bar' in the avcr? i played with kylies greddy profec 2, and you dont set a boost pressure as such, more a boost pressure as a percentage increase over the stock boost, etc etc... so maybe what ran 0.8bar on your 180sx is only pushing 0.65bar on your stagea? try upping it a bit and see what happens. ps: a restrictor will increase the boost, as it drops the pressure, causing the wastegate to open later ie, instead of being 6psi at the pipework, and 6psi at the waste gate to open it, a restrictor can restrict 8psi at the pipework to only 6psi at the wastegate, thus it opening later and creating more boost.

anybody willing to lend me their PFC controller for a day? to suit a R33 gts-t (pretty sure it has the be the same model controller to work) having issues with 'something' and need the controller to tell me what this 'something' is. preferably south of the river (read: rockingham) however, i'm willing to travel to get it.. cheers! ps: will get a bottle/carton for your troubles, cheers!

ah ok. dont think i can get a hold of a consult cable, but the PFC hand controller will still tell me which sensor has died (or not working properly), wont it?

yeah, im trying to source a hand controller at the moment. sensor failed would indicate why the stock ECU doesnt work aswell? afm seems to be fine, water temp is being registered at 1/3rd (as per usual) on the dash so i assume that works?

oh yes.. forgot to mention... no hand controller for the PFC. also, the check engine light is permanently on, but flashes when it knocks. i tried putting the stock ECU in, but the car wont start, just cranks over.

yep, sitting on about -70kpa, which it always has.

my engine has decided to go into a sort of 'limp mode'... it idles quite rough (searches between 1000-1500rpm, sounds like a big lumpy cam..) and on a cold start it just feels like a rb20e, and wont boost much, however the guage is showing its hitting the usual 13psi. the exhaust is also very loud and droney at the moment too. normal driving, if you gently increase the revs, it goes to about 4000rpm then starts knocking (engine light flashes with PFC), and if you increase the revs too quick, it gets to positive pressure, then feels like it kills off all the power, and the exhaust just gets loud and droney again. i have a stock AFM in it at the moment, but ive got a Z32 afm which i tried swapping it over to the other day, and that just seemed to make the problem worse, it was stuttering at low revs and i could barely get it back home from 200m up the road. any idea's?

the 350z uses a similar setup too i think.. but.... it's more expensive.

kylies manifold tried a similar trick when i removed it a month or so ago.. made the leaking noise... discovered the first 3 studs were snapped off, the other 9 were either extremely tight, or extremely loose. had a crack along the front and back between the 3rd runner and the flange, and then through the top and bottom of the turbine flange down the 4th runner too. the whole manifold was also warped, so it wasnt sitting flat against the head. (made it fun for removal) probably would have snapped if left for a bit longer... looks like a common weakness in the manifolds? removed the one on my 33 a week after kylies, but it seemed perfect... *crosses fingers*

does he do pfc's? mine will need to be done shortly...

just go try repco, auto one, supercheap, etc. im pretty sure the 32 gtr's are the same as a 33 gts-t, and i picked up mine from repco. alternatively they can get them within the next week, got some ordered for kylie's stagea and recived them within a week (and they are weird/rare pads!)

ive got a pair of toyo RA1's that do the job pretty good.. however ive head the bridgestone RE55's are supposed to be the shit!

standard one is fine! unless you are going high mount/external gate or something, dont bother with it.
