  1. it sounded strong, didnt blow any smoke that I could see.
  2. Nulon Long life is my fav, or go to Nissan and ask for their long life coolant. as for changing fluid, there is a drain bolt on the block somewhere, and just pop the bottom radiator hose off, let it drain, then fill up there is a coolant bleed screw on the forward part of the intake manifold, crack that to get all the air out of the system
  3. Knew it wouldnt take you long haha for the Race car?
  4. jeeebus!
  5. They have drive by noise detectors for trucks
  6. I saw an old lady driving one a couple of days ago in tuggers. Had horrid wheels and was pretty rough though
  7. ranges from stuff like this to this to fancy ice baths
  8. What is the difference between the kai and ProS turbos?
  9. dammit, another product that they dont make for my car would have been keen on the GB too. Oh well, will have to go back to looking at Wilwood kits
  10. lol Stoich fart
  11. imo, no Standard gasket will be fine. If you are worried about having to pull the head off at a later date for what ever reason, than don't. Because if something goes bang and the head needs to come off than a head gasket will be the least of your worries
  12. How are you guys going to run the battery kill up to the A-pillar from there? and did you buy the switch box as is, or hunt around Jaycar?
  13. Hey Dunc...guess who just volunteered themselves to do the wiring in my car? So neat
  14. 8k will get a standard RB26 in and running and that is about it if there is nothing wrong with the 25 spend the coin on bolt ons
  15. Just grab a straight edge, and see if both the head and block a straight, if within spec whack it back on (when using a standard gasket)
  16. Don't see why not, it is just a solenoid, I would block it off with a little bolt or something to be safe
  17. all look exactly the same light brown/orange tinge, no oil on the crowns
  18. firms up the steering at higher engine loads (i.e going faster) Well on my Toyota's it does, I would assume the Nissans are the same
  19. nah no wet test yet. lol 2Bar with standard turbos would prob make less power than it does standard
  20. Yeah, 100% agree, Was just more bemused by the lack of comp on 1 cylinder. Leak down test will reveal all I guess
  21. this is true, didnt think of it that way.
  22. Do WANT! What are you going to do driveline wise?
  23. This is why I'm confused, you would think that a broken ring land would show up with oil on the plug and piston crown, as well as it blowing smoke under load. It has none, it is also very quiet as I said before. If I wasnt so poor due to it being the silly season I would've pulled the engine already, but alas I am broke, hence this thread lol The lack of oil in the chamber tells me if it is guides/seals, than it is the exhaust side
  24. Just give it 6 weeks so the HG guys can sort their issues out lol P.s, Those that think Im rubbishing HG stuff, I'm not, its all in jest
