  1. there are plenty of results from the US of 1J's making well over 600rwhp with the same turbo and E85 up around 30psi. From memory they all had 4" exhausts and aftermarket cams though
  2. Just want I wanted to hear Annndddd. Will you guys price match stuff from the USA?
  3. Cool. Reckon the split .84 will go 400 on similar boost?
  4. Bigger exhaust, more boost will get you there
  5. I wont be there till around 11am
  6. Cheers pj. That's what I'm after What rear housing does that one have?
  7. You are correct in a sense. But the more you compress air the hotter it gets so leaves less room for error in the event of a slight lean out etc It also comes from the dark ages of horribly inefficient turbos the just blew hot air at anymore than a hand full of boost. I always think back to the millions of dollars car manufacturers put into things. Etc why doesn't ford use a tiny little turbo and 40psi instead of a gt35 to make 240 kws etc Less boost means a more relaxed engine in general. Efficiency is key. I'm sure we would all like a lazy 7psi to make 500hp but the reality is we can so it's always a balance between response and power on our small engines
  8. Ole Mr Monster Tajima (sp?) seems to give no f**k for corners and only seems to care about having 1000hp in a straight line lol Effective...but not pretty.
  9. Have to go single now lol
  10. Then use alloy like the 99% of turbo car owners. My last custom job was 300 bucks completed in 2 1/2" alloy tube
  11. See edit above... big boost it is
  12. this is where is gets confusing, some say 6262 will do over 400 on e85, others say it wont I think if I had a 3.0 I would go the 6265....but alas still 2.5 so the 6262 with a bucket load of boost and cams may get me where I want to be
  13. ye hence the hypothetical part only 7500rpm so we be a pretty shite power band with a big turbo lol not changing my mind off the 6262, but was just curious
  14. Hmmm Hypothetically the JB pt6766 should outspool a t78-33d (with 17cm rear) yeah? and make more power? might be an option for me providing it is all in before 5k rpm?
  15. pretty good for 1Bar of boost. Need a bigger housing, E85 and 30psi
  16. If you want induction noise/whistle, than get a turbo with a shrouded comp cover, ala GT3076/HKS T51R/T88-38gk etc
  17. problem is when you change from steel to FRP or even aluminium (GTR guards etc) it changes the "crash worthyness" of the car, hence making it un-roadworthy. It sucks because front guards are not structural, but in the even of a prang fibreglass/carbon splinters will spray everywhere, even more so if you hit a pedestrian. If you have the budget to crash test all your panels (like blits did) i.e crash your car into a wall a few times then you can produce adr approved stuff. I'd be dubious if an engineer will touch stuff like that, but it may be possible given enough cash. In saying that I had a Carbon bonnet on the R33 for years an never got picked up on it.
  18. This makes we want a 6766! though probably too big for a stock 1JZ I plan on going a manual box in my car soon, I like corners to much lol
  19. cool cool, so it still have the lock up function (a lot of the ones here in aus loose that ability) Thats good to know....what I dont want to know is Titans price for it lol
  20. I would love to talk to the guy who tuned the Saab variable compression turbo engine. Would hate to think what is involved there
  21. I'll come up for a look and say gday. dont know that many cars are going. Though I'd be happy to help out with the banner and tent and flog some memberships to people
  22. f**k the microguess. Get something decent adaptronic/haltech etc
  23. Look at my TRD 3000GT Fully legit as bro
  24. I'll buy it back for what you paid me? LOL
