  3. 17-18 psi at 5k rpm isnt bad for an engine that looks like it would have rather large cams but 200km/h at 8500rpm? dyno in 3rd?
  4. is it just before the up-shift? the snoarer cuts ignition on up shifts above 50% throttle. so bangs and pops like a rev limiter to look after the gearbox nearly shat my pants first time it happened

  12. The thing is, you want credit for working on cars for 20 years. But you wont give credit to anyone else. So as soon as a) someone gives advice which you don't agree with, you jump down their throats or b) Someone says something that you don't know about, you jump down their throats There is more than one way to skin a cat

  14. well you're handy on the spanners, give it a go, not a big job to pull the cams back out if it floats Off the top of my head all the 270 results ive seen had springs, but they all had more lift than what you do. p.s didnt you score some camtech 272s a while back? (was flipping through an old Zoom mag yesterday)

I don't doubt some of them are making the numbers...just a lot of BS comes from the land of yank eg, I saw 1 "result" of a Gt2871 on a SR20 making 500rwhp...now we all know that isn't going to happen. SO anything out of the US is disregard until there are a number of results here locally of similar nature. P.J not taking anything away from you, but we never got to see the S14 run, all we got was a few dyno sheets, which I'm sure you know are easy to fudge (my 33 "made" 400rwkws with a stock turbo) Which is why, we are "haters" Its just a natural reaction for everyone who has grown up in the era of infomertials to not want this "super mega awesome best ever product" just because a couple of workshops say they are the best thing ever If we could see some normal results, at low boost levels, I can only speak for myself here, I would start to take a more objective view

  21. turbo seals, at idle it wont have enough vacuum to be pulling oil out through the breathers other option is valve guides are absolute rooted, but I doubt that would happen overnight
  22. basically, they use an Idle air valve, super rich mixtures and 0 deg ign advance Idle valve lets enough air in to keep the fuel burning, super rich and super retarded means the exh valve is open when it ignites.
