  1. LOL WTF!!?!?!?! you have said it doesnt line up with the ports by 3mm...you now have 3mm smaller exhaust ports + the gasses are hitting a 3mm wall of restriction...turbulence much?!?!? Throw the manifold at who ever sold it to youi really hard!
  2. THIS!!!! There are horror stories about everywork shop/product out there. Its up to the person to decide whether to believe them or not. So far there would only be 1 shop in this area I would trust with building an Engine and 1 to tune it. But that would only be if it was a $$$$ donk that I wounldnt build/tune myself
  3. You wont lose power getting it tuned in sydney....compared to getting it tuned in canberra. the Air is thinner here...so you cant just magically make the air better by getting it tuned here...infact I'll bet 90% of dyno operators here have fudged the corrections to make the readings comparable to Sydney/other sea level dynos. besides peak power means nothing if the mid range is full of lumps and bumps
  4. I have a computer that can go on said computer desk
  5. from what i gather, you need to hit the remote play button on GT5 then you can access via the GT site
  6. Street race in Cairo? I hear the crowd is already there celebrating
  7. It seems to me that everywork shop in Canberra has built race/rally cars...but who are the only ones that you have heard of...Neal Bates. Ive built a race car...that doesnt make me a good mechanic...infact most race cars are dodgy as fark underneath
  8. Whats the dealeo with the remote B spec?
  9. Thoughts....its big...and thats all I can tell you without knowing what you want to do with the motor
  10. HP is torque with a multiplication factor. As for low comp/high boost. I take it you have never driven a 6.5/7:1 comp turbo car. they are crap. As for more boost means more torque...well yes and no. Boost is just inlet restriction, say 1 car is running 25psi with a dead standard Rb25 and makes 500hp, then another car with the same turbo but has cams and headwork is also making 500hp but only needs 20psi to do so. You mentioned VE and that is how efficent the engine is, the more efficient the head(s) the more power you will make (given the turbo can flow enough air in your application) My way of thinking is, a turbo is just the air pump (sure there are good and bad ones) but its not the be all and end all of making power. So I wouldnt be spending all my cash on just a turbo and injectors and a tune. Find a turbo that flow the air you need and then spend some coin on the head, I give no shit that the standard head and cams in a 25 can flow 375rwkws...its pushing shit uphill to do so. TL;DR make the engine more efficent and the power will come no matter what turbo you have.
  11. Stevo - Ti Crank wouldnt work, Ti has no twist strength, its strong as f**k if you grab either end and bend it like a banana, but if you grabbed the ends and twisted they are no where near as strong as Steel
  12. hmmm by the looks of it I need to update GT5 a bit....how many updates have they been since Dec?
  13. Im using the GT500 R35 and can manage 3rd.....need maor cashola for a LMP car
  14. Sounds the buisiness! What speeds was it hitting before the kink?
  15. Quick question...where is the 2jz? I see a 1JZ in the photos?
  16. R31 GTS-R manifold with ext gate welded on...if you can find one
  17. Boost doesnt affect Chamber pressure...eg a car making 500hp with a GT42 and one making 500hp with a gt3073 will have very similar chamber pressures, only thing that will throw it would be if you had a massive exhaust manifold restriction. eg a .63 garrett gt30 housing would be too small. I know Scott will agree with me here, a housing on the larger side and good tuning of the off boost area will give a better/safer result than a tiny housing. Only time will tell when it comes to whether the EFR integral gates can bypass enough air to keep exhaust mainifold pressures down to under 2:1 exhaust to intake pressure Quick edit - I also belive that a large turbine housing will give a more progressive boost curve over a small one, even if full boost is reached a little later
  18. Best bet imo is to save and buy a Factory SR20DET and ECU/Wiring and swap straight over, much better bang for buck than speding $$ on an engine you are going to change anyway.
  19. So is it missing or is there a flat spot?
  20. May I ask why you dont want to run more than say 22psi. Boost is just manifold pressure, so if you need to run 25psi to get the airflow needed to make the power you want than do it. You might need to run a real intercooler and not some china POS and good quality hose clamps/joiners. I would have no problem running up towards the top right of the comp map providing good support systems in place. 500HP is the upper limit of a stock internal RB, so no matter what boost you run its going to be a knife edge state of tune for the engine.
  21. Baron - I still think you should enter the Atlas...least then if any pesky Rx7's go backwards up pit lane you can run them over and steal their horsepowerz
  22. Thats called qualifying Noel
  23. Box will win!!!!
