beastien replied to emanuelt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Yeah whats goin on there, the guys in melbourne got there's, i'm bout half the distance from brisbane, very strange, ah well maybe tomorrow lol -
Update, I received the original mat tracings from bwilkeson (cheers again mate), i got some custom logos made up for myself, and i've posted it all to the manufacturer, i'm just waiting to hear back from them now. Shouldn't be long. I'll post some pics when i receive them, see what you guys think, and if theres enough interest we should be able to setup a group buy

I'm more partial to the series 1 grille and headlight setup, although xenon headlights would be nice

From looking at the fast software, it looks like the return line connects back into the surge chamber, i can't quite tell but it looks like the fuel pump mounts inside this, i'm guessing it's a plastic enclosure of some type. It's showing the return line connecting into the bottom of the surge chamber (tank). -
That is a bit low Terminal, according to her, yours should be the best in the land
-
Is that just for labour? i'm assuming it is. With all the parts needed you would be looking up around the 5-6 grand mark roughly.
-
Sounds like an ignition feed problem, could be the relay or the main fuse, double check all the fuses in the box near the battery with a multimeter. The alarm would be hooked to the constant power coming into the car, sounds like you've lost that for some unknown reason (would cause the alarm to do silly things). If it was the alternator, a charged battery would get it going temporarily, i've had that problem before.

I'm assuming from the year models it does the series 1? If so i'm in -
Lookin good Alexcim

I've decided it might be a good idea to hold off on posting the part numbers until i receive my order and confirm that everything needed is there, i've talked to nissan about a couple of the parts that are supposed to come as a package under the one part number, and they're 99.9% sure that they do come as a package. So before i quote anything again i just want to make sure Should receive the goods in bout 2 or 3 weeks and i'll post the results.

Yep i'm still in -
If anyone is looking at purchasing the manual console parts i've listed, i'd urge you to hold off until i confirm something. I've since found out that Part number 96920-0V800 Lid-Console Box, could also include parts, 68643-6P000 Bumper Console and 969A1-0V800 Tray Assy, in which case you would only need the one part number for all three items. I'm waiting on 100% confirmation on this and should have it within a couple of days, if it is the case the price would be even cheaper than i quoted previously.

Actually i don't think he had any idea what the car was, he was looking at the back of it for a while, and even took a second look. For most people i think it would be easy for them to pick that it's not factory, seeing as though it's a nice shiny cannon
-
HA HA, he was an older bloke too, the funny thing was there was no mention of it being too loud, just that it wasn't factory so i could get defected for it.
-
Thats what i was thinkin, but i thought (don't argue ) Probably lucky i'm not a P plater
-
Got pulled up for a random breath test last night (blew 0.00 ) And was told that i could be defected for not havin the factory exhaust on the car, there was no mention about being too loud, even though i think it might be lol. As far as i believe you can have any exhaust system you want as long as it's not over the max dba, has an approved cat and is no less than 1 metre from the nearest opening window, am i right? By the way i have a Blitz NURspec 3" catback and it is a bit noisy as i have the baffle out at the moment, with it in it's bout half as quiet.

I think the best idea for a manual conversion would be to get the specific parts needed from a series 2 RS4S. I can confirm that the Clutch master cylinder for the RS4S is the same as an R34 skyline, The brake pedal assy is the same as an R33 skyline, The only specific parts i've found are the clutch pedal assy which looks to be stagea specific and the handbrake assy, but someone said that a R33 handbrake does fit. I compared the internals from the stagea manual tranny and found them to be the same in R33's and R34's so i dont think it would matter what box you use, i think the only difference would be the diff ratio, which i don't think would make a huge difference. Any specific parts wouldn't be that expensive through japanparts from what i've seen with the console prices. I will price them soon and let ya's know what we're lookin at
-
I've looked into doing a group buy for the console bits and unfortunately we cant get any discount because the parts aren't listed on their site, also they can only send the package to one address. So i think it will be easier if i list the part numbers and the contact details so guys can purchase the parts themselves. Part Numbers: 96911-0V800 Body-Console 96920-0V800 Lid-Console Box 68430-0V800 Holder Assy-Cup 96935-0V800 Boot-Console 96965-AA001 Holder Assy-Cup These items are for a Z interior, which is black with the grey roof and rear trim. The rear ashtray is the same throughout the models The front ashtray is a slightly different colour so heres the part number to match the RS4S console. 68800-0V700 The contact email is contact@japanparts.com Web address is www.japanparts.com. Just send them an email requesting a quote with desired shipping method, and they will give you a total price. They are very helpful, and will answer any questions you may have.

No worries mate
-
The mounting brackets for the console are the same, maybe the brackets could be in different positions, but i'd nearly bet money that they would be exactly the same. It's worth checking though. Once terminal confirms if the front ashtray from a series 1 fits a series 2, i'll be ready to order. It mentions possibly waiving the credit card surcharge for volume buys or group buys. I'm not sure how we'd go about this though from an overseas supplier. I'll see what they say and let ya's know.
-
That would be the reservoir for the Attessa system, i believe it takes auto trans fluid, someone can correct me if i'm wrong.
-
Sorry darren, didn't see your post, i'll post the part numbers up later today, and include the ashtrays aswell if anyone wants to get those too
-
It includes, Console Body Console Boot (gear stick surround and boot) Rear Cup Holder Cup Holder (sits behind gear stick) Tray assy (including bumpers for lid) Console Lid Thats all the parts required to make a complete manual console, besides the ashtrays, a front one might be required. I havent included the rear ashtray because they are the same throughout the models and i'm just going to use my old one, Terminal is going to see if the front ashtray fits a series 2 as the part numbers are different, so it might be a little extra if i need to get that aswell, but i'm quite surprised at how cheap the parts are. For example the console body is only about $175 aussie, sounds too cheap but thats whats on the quote i received. Beastien.
-
Can anyone confirm 100% that a series 2 console will fit in a series 1? I'm pretty sure it will but i just want someone else to confirm it before i purchase the bits.
-
Ok, I've got a price back from japanparts.com, for a brand new complete series 2 manual console, which includes all bits needed will cost about $990 air freighted to australia. I havent priced the parts through Nissan australia, but i'm bettin it would be nearly double that.
