had this bloke just advertised it as a normal 1995 V-spec gtr.... and maybe even thrown a std. airbag steering wheel back in it... not to mention not trying to spin bullshit, he would have probably sold it by now and retained what ever reputation he once had!

don't do it, skylines are evil.

i have an rb20det in my S12 Gazelle... and i had the same issue after installing my front facing plenum... turns out i hadn't taken enough care when extending the wiring for the tps (as the tps sits in a much different position to standard) and the shielding wire around one of my tps wires was actually touching the internal conductor of that wire where i had cut it to extend it! perhalps check that out, especially because your power fc has highlighted the tps

High Powered Vehicle Restrictions, P Plater In A V35?
Ruffels replied to BIGGERDave's topic in Victoria
I am Sorry, I stand corrected... i cannot see anywhere that is says you are not ruled by the power/weight law... however i can't see it written anywhere to say that you are either.. so in saying that.. it seems you can drive a 350GT i would get it in writing from the victorian police or vicroads as this situation could change... and you would want to cover your arse The reason i jumped to my first conclusion is because when the 'arrive alive' website was first published stating the "NEW" rules, it stated that the "new" p platers will be governed by the old power/weight rules with the ADDITION of the new restrictions as Ash explained in his earlier post it appears they have amended this and removed that sanction -
High Powered Vehicle Restrictions, P Plater In A V35?
Ruffels replied to BIGGERDave's topic in Victoria
WOW i find it amazing how everyone has stated clear and simply the rules, yet this bloke doesn't get it let me try. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- You are a P Plater - i don't care when you got it. You are not allowed to drive any car over 125kw/tonne. A 350GT is OVER 125kw/tonne. Therefore, you CANNOT drive one legally. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -
i got it from Officer Brian Jones of Nilumbik TMU, i marched into the eltham cop shop at the time and demanded written evidence that an r32 gts-t is legal on p plates becuase i was about to buy one and didnt want to be dicked... he told me verbally that they are fine, however wouldn't give me anything in writing.. this is what he gave me. and thought he would be smart by marking out R33
-
HAHAHAHA where did you find that Pat? i scanned and posted that picture years ago!!!! ... my friendly local cop gave me that.. the smart arse even put a dash next to r33 gts-t to show me i was wrong ... even after 2 power/weight fines in 24 hours from him

Yes, And I AM .. and I just got home from a good mate and his family's funeral just a few hours ago! they died in the fires fires that were deliberatly lit, by someone who didn't care, my anger starting this thread evolved from someone else who also didn't care, perhalps in a different manner, however it's still just as negligable. I don't give a f**k if you kill yourself smoking mate, as long as you don't kill others with your lit cigarette butt.

This is an angry rant on my behalf. Now i live on the diamond creek side of eltham.. only a hop skip and a jump away from kinglake and St. Andrews, the fires have affected us all in some way or another, whether it be ourselves or someone we know some how.. living fairly close to the devistation i know quite a few people who have been badly affected by all this! fortunatly not myself dirrectly. Anyhow driving out to a mates place in hurstbridge tongiht, i'm following this wrx... next thing *BAM* flash of orange light ... the douche bag has thrown this lit ciggarette butt out the window, i was so enraged at this point and trying to memorise his rego whilst following him so i can give him a blasting! especially with the fires still fresh in our mind, and mind you still allight allover the state can people be so careless and do such a thing.. it just makes me so angry! last time i checked 2002 wrx's have perfectly good ash trays! unfortunatly i was so angry and not having a pen and paper, i forgot the rego! he quickly swerved off and drove down a side road in hurstbridge (5 or so minutes drive from St.Andrews where about 23 people died in the fires) so assuming he lives there he should be well aware of the area and the fire hazards and dangers! so to the 40+ year old driver... YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER YOU #$%^#$% IDIOT, not only are you littering, you could have potentially started another fire! GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR /end rant

Sounds to me that you work at a multidealer that deals in a variety of cars... i was more hinting towards the likes of holden/ford. although you are right about the random blow ins from other makes. as far as diagnostics i wasn't really meaning electronic diagnostic... plugging in a scanner and getting error codes or putting a car on the gas bench doesnt really take alot of know how. i was more refering to diagnostics in mechanical terms, also without computer aid.. like knowing what noises mean what when something is broken inside a gearbox or engine.... for eg. a friend of mine was working as an app. mechanic at holden and he was told to change a part... while he was being helped to change it he decided to enquire how the service manager knew this part was broken and how it could have become that way? he was basically told to shut up and just learn how to change the part... this didnt sit well with me as i regard the later two just as important as knowing how to actually change the part or fix the problem... it soundsl although you work in a good place... you should be very greatful, they are quite rare these days.. i'm an electrical apprentice, and boy am i treated like a shit kicker *rolls eyes*.. its quite painful, but as the apprentice i just have to take it unfortunatly. 3 years, 2 months and 8 days left... but i'm not counting

Yes and No Ash, the defence force do look after you very well.. however there are a few catch 22's some people should be aware of before jumping in. * you're locked into it * they don't run the same scheme as the Australian Apprenticeship scheme, so if for some reason you get say a "medical discharge" half way through your apprenticeship, and then want to go back to your apprenticeship later with an everyday mechanic, you have to start from scratch because the australian apprenticeship sheme and the defence force scheme do not interconnect at this point in time from what i've been told! My biggest suggestion when going for a mechanical apprenticeship is to stay away from dealerships.. from my friends experiences, you will only work on one brand of car, and most likely will not ammount to much more then a lube mechanic with limited diagnostic experience, which goes along way in the automotive industry when it comes to repair. any monkey can change a part, but not every monkey can figure out which part needs changing, and why! just my 2c

its a locked garage... simple as that they as you to keep it in a locked garage. and thats where it is.. no need to tell them of a change in sleeping arangement.. only for the change in address as far as im concerned, although you may have shot yourself in the foot by ringing and informing them!
-
he can defect you, however he can only suspect that your exhaust is too loud, and can issue you with an epa notice, however as far as i know, he is unable to actually fine you for the exhaust... are you sure you didn't recieve the fine for the defect (bov)

Brakes Screaming After Machine And New Pads
Ruffels replied to SS#eater's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
throw them out! when you say, bendix, expensive, and perofrmance.. really only leads to one pad, bendix ultimates! they are probably the most loud annoying pad you can buy on the brake pad market!, they stop fairly well but will SQUEAL thier entire life, and chew out your rotars so bad, next pad change will be a rotar change too! get yourself into something else! -
yes thats him... his car used to be orange... he was a very tallented young man, thanks for all the fun drives luke, you scared the shit out of me that time you took me around calder! RIP mate
