Depends on what class racing he wants to get into. No point buying the car then realising he can't complete in the class he wants because of the mods. But if it were me, I'd go the RX7. Easier to set up for different circuits with front wheels to steer, and rear wheel to get power to the ground.

I think DC is performing better because of his new surroundings. Driving for a team like Mclarens means that he always has to perform and is always under the watchful eye of the media and his bosses. A team like RBR is a smaller team where things are more relaxed. Look at Mark Webber now. He seems to struggle under Williams, where as when he was with Jaguar and Minardi he dominated his teammates.

Brakes help but in most situations, but people wouldn't know how to use them instinctively. We can all sit here and talk theory but many drivers (young and old) lack these instincts. Some non-ABS people just mash pedal and prey, which means a massive slide onto what they're looking at. Some ABS people mash pedal, and jump off it because they're not use to the pulsing pedal.

Pathetic! Stayed up all night for nothing. As much as I hate the USGP, gotta admit that the more US sponsored companies back F1 teams, more better for the sport. And this just blew every chance of that to bits. Will there be another USGP? Doubt it. May as well setup a race in the south pole.

Need some advise. I've got a set of coil overs coming in and it got me thinking. How does one go about setting up the coil overs to get a balanced setup? The coil-over allows for height, camber and damper adjustments. Do I find out the best damper adjustment, then lower the shocks to provide just enough room for shock travel? Should the right hand side be stiffer/higher than the left to accomodate for driver weight? I know there is no black and white answer to this, but there has to be some general rule of thumb to this. I find it's a fast circuit. It's not the speed that scares me, it's the lack of run off space!!! lol. Maybe I'm use to tracks with a bit of run off space. I don't know if Wilson will be in the car no more. He's hooked and he'll probably be out in his own car next time. I've created another monster.

Thanks to all SAU VIC guys for making my day a great one! Didn't have the best times out there but it was good to have a go at Sandown. Hopefully I'll do more roadtrips down that way in future for days like this. Special thanks goes to the guys who sat in the car with me and showed me a thing or two, and also to the guys who helped out with my little fire extinguisher problem.
