  1. Werd! When the flag drops, the bullsh*t stops. Until then tell your mate that you've got a gazilion HP at the rear wheels and cops fly.
  2. Read up on this page; http://science.howstuffworks.com/gear-ratio.htm I know it's "geeky" but this site will pretty much cover the basics of how parts in cars work. This explains how gear ratio's work. When talking about gear ratio's on cars, it refers to the transmission or the differential. HICAS lock bar is to simply remove the HICAS system on Nissan cars equiped with it. In simple terms, the HICAS is a computer/hydrolic system which makes corrections to the cars rear wheel above 80km/h in a given corner. It has nothing to do with the diff. For the average driver it works a miracle. But for someone who's looking for complete control of the car, it's not pleasent. The computer is correcting the driver, while the driver is correcting the computer so it's a never ending battle.
  3. We need more folks like him! Last time my loan car broke down, so many companies refused to to tow unless it was an NRMA job. Thanks for the numbers, will keep it handy.
  4. The MX5 always had 50:50 balance. The S2000 is a great car but I could never get over the steering feedback. Honda feel that the electronic powersteering is the way to go, but in a sports car I'm sure drivers want more feedback.
  5. I'll go the R32 GTR road again. I'm not interested in modding cars anymore. Have better things to do than worry about cops and defect stickers, headaches when modding's go wrong. So it has to be stock. I drove a few people's 33's and they just didn't feel right... as in the steering was too light and brakes didn't give much feed back, suspension was soft. In other words the chassis is not as communicative as my old R32.

  7. I'm going to have to go and check one out.
  8. Yeah thats what I thought but then I remember someone bring up on the forums that after a long time in storage the compound can go hard. With second hand tyres you just don't know how long they've been sitting there until you're driving on them. I think the used PZero's I got must've been sitting there long but who knows? The pilot sport were first choice but nobody can get them in the size I wanted.
  9. Pilot sports? I've had them on my old GTR and they're pretty good. Any other Michelin.... don't think so. Anyhow, second hand tyres. I use to them. I had a set of P-Zero assymetrical on the GTR but they felt somewhat... lacking. Drove a mates 200SX with brand new P-Zero Nero's and the grip levels were a lot higher. I'm guessing the later generation PZero have differing compound.
  10. $2k all round is a rip off for new Pirelli P-Zero's??? Why buy a nice car when your going to treat that like sh*t too? Frankly I don't compromise when it comes to tyres. It's the only part of the car that comes in contact with the tarmac. Have all the suspension/turbo/brakes/flashy bits you want, but add cheap rubber in there and it all comes to nothing.
  11. 2 x 245/40/18, 2 x 215/35/18. All up $2k. P-Zero's all round from Liverpool Jax.
  12. In NSW I cannot tell you how many people fail because they fail to stop at the STOP sign when they pull out of the RTA drive way. Automatic fail there! Beware. Also you'd be surprised how many ppl offer bribes just to get their P's! A friends uncle works for the RTA and it ranges from cash sums to ppl (girls AND guys) offering some "back seat action", it's beyond stupid. Learning to drive isn't THAT hard! I'm sure if you can spread your legs (or in the guys case, bend over) then you can work a steering wheel and 2 pedals.
  13. Good to know you back. It's sad to see a minority ruin it for the rest. Safe travels Links!
  14. Don't complain mate! I'm 26 with a N/A 1992 MR2 with 60% NCB and I pay $2k with Just Cars. Car is insured for $14k. Your getting a bargin there.
  15. Sorry I didn't make it. Missed out on the action.
  16. Hehe... Malaysia and Netherlands had good drives because they had ex-F1 drivers... lol! Yoong and Jos. Piquet Jnr was a class of his own. No wonder Williams is keen on having him onboard.
  17. Yes it will. The RSM has a function which it tricks the sensors and makes the ECU think it hasn't passed 180km/h limit.
  18. Charles is a top bloke. He even knocked off a few bucks since he managed to make a saving somewhere along the line. I'm loving my Toms TN06's!
  19. Had some tool park in my parking space which I rent yesterday. Had to fork out $25 for parking and was so pissed off. I went back to see if the tool was still there at the end of the day so I could throw some brake fluid and "improve" his paint job but alas.... they pissed off.
  20. Double clutch the Tarago with an auto tranny... hmmm....
  21. On the MR2 forums there was a post calling for cars wanting to be in the movie. If I lived in the states I would've pimped my Tarago just for the occasion.... lol!
  22. Just got the car so I'm all happy. Once every 2-3 weeks. Once I'm over the car it'll be like once every 3/4 months.... lol!
  23. Go-kart at the race track which I can drive from home to work and back.
  24. No it's still in the works.
  25. Fixed! How can I forget about the Beat!
