  1. I had a PWR 40mm on my previous car, (R32 GTR) and the only issue my mechanic had fitting was the bottom mounts didn't mount properly, but just a bit of bending and it slotted right in.
  2. The V8's are some 3-6 seconds off the pace. I think the Mclaren MP4/20 chassis with the Mercedes V8 was about 5 seconds off the pace at Silverstone. The smaller teams will still be allowed to run V10's but at limted revs. The advantage here is that the V10's will have more torque at lower speed corners. Hopefully Bridgestone will have learned their lesson and stop making rubber specifically for Ferrari. Silly that Max Mosley is preaching tyre long life rubber, and now making manufactuers re-develop shorter life rubber. They've infact spent more money. Qualifying is changed once again, more like the V8 supercars shoot out format. 1 hour session where the slowest cars are taken off while the faster cars keep going on. Traction control is illegal, it was reverted at the beginning of 2005 season. It was legal in 2004. I think also sometime this year teams were banned from using coded radio channels from pit to driver. I read somewhere that 2006 regs also say that driver steering wheels are only to have limited buttons. Not too sure now if I can make Melb. I'm hoping but it looks doubtful.
  3. Mona Lisa, eat your heart out! This beast is a work of ART!
  4. For those who knew him, the best way to honor him is learn from what happened. RIP.
  5. 7) Thou shall use indicators when changing/merging lanes (Some of us "claudes" weren't born with a 6th sense)
  6. I didn't make it but these pics are my mate Michael's ones. http://www.pbase.com/miksta/a1grand_prix_syd05 P.S. More pit babes inside.
  7. I know those guys. They're brothers.
  8. SMH reported that the University of Western Sydney are probing into this addiction of ours. http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/the-ne...1211949448.html If there are hot female psychologist conducting this research, she can probe me ANYTIME! j/k Good exposure for Wakefield Park though.
  9. I hope someone reported these cars to www.ricecop.com
  10. You know, I've owned both and would put my 2 cents worth, but with kids fighting like that I'll save it.
  11. Aww... reminds me of Garfield when he was a wee little kitty. I've got that warm and fuzzy feeling now... lol!
  12. I don't think it's a good idea to name names. Will turn this thread into a flame war. I think the young fella who caused grief to R33RWKW should send an apology to him. No need to cause him grief, let alone anyone. R33RWKW was also gracious enough not to publicly name him because there would be instant flamage on this post.
  13. My pbase gallery. These were taken with a Sony 717. http://www.pbase.com/silver_arrowz/various_pics This is a pic of my toymotor the night I got it. I've just got a D20 so I'll soon take some more happy snaps.
  14. Look at it from the manufactuer's point of view. Max Mosley and Co. are blabing on about cost saving and what have Michelin saved? They spent an entire year developing tyres to last 1 weekend, and now they have to go back to developing short life tyres again! Back to square 1. If I were Michelin I'd be pissed off too. The good thing is we get to see tyre changes in pit lane again. Have you seen the drawings of the 2008 cars? They want teams to develop cars with a gap in the rear wings.
  15. I haven't kept up with the ARC lately but do Mitsu have a factory backed team? Most of the teams are independent so there's not much competition if the Mitsu team is the only big budget team. It's pretty much a 2 horse race since the only competative cars are WRX and EVO's. Thanks to WRC group A kit cars, manufactures don't churn out pock rockets anymore.
  16. On the track, without oil cooler it will reach 130 degrees in no time (think the point where oil breaks down is 120-130 degrees). With an oil cooler (custom) and a larger radiator it would sit at 100-110 degrees, all day long.
  17. Sorry for your loss mate.
  18. I wish people would have a more broad mind and get over a badge/brand/model.
  19. Got any vids of a Rolls Royce drifting??? TGIF!
  20. I might go back and do the stage 3 with Finlay, pending the missus approval (whoever made weddings cost a fortune I'm gonna slap em!) ^De_LiL_Devil^, the course does consist of a sit-in theory session. Being quick on the circuit is not all about getting in and mashing the pedal. You will spend more time out there on the track, but just so you know. And you don't have to write down notes or do exams.
  21. I'd say the the shaggin' wagon! You see, to stand out these days at school formals, it's SOOOO boring to rock up in hotted out sports car. Everyone does it. To stand out you should rock up in a bomb (ie the shagin' wagon), and I guarentee, people WILL look at you.... just not in the kind of way you'd want, but they'll look none the less. lol!
  22. Anyone know another good place to get their braking needs?
  23. On paper it looks similar. But consider this, fat rubber and weight over rear wheel is going to give it more traction. I'll take a porker any day! In GT2 form please!!!
