I'd love to see all those cars get smoked by fatz's R31!

It's beyond shocking! like someone said in their review, it'll turn a DSLR into an ordinary point and shoot camera! lol! I'll let you guys know. Any ideas on how to test the lens with and without the TC? I'd like to show you all.

Well, compared to my previous telezoom (Sigma 28-300mm f2.8-6.3) it sh*ts all over it! I brought that lens because at the time I was on a budget and needed something before I went on holidays. It's been raining in Sydney so I haven't had any real chance to take any real pics but so far it's promising. It's better in every way compared to the first lens and the EFS 17-85mm lens I've got, but I haven't really compared it to the my prime 50mm f1.8. I'm hoping Sunday/Monday it's clear so I can wonder around Sydney for some happy snaps!

I got the Sigma 1.4x TC.

Well I took the plunge and brought the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8. Reading reviews, comparisons and getting lots of recommendations from friends/family, I figured for the money it's hard to miss. The only other lens I was considering was the Canon 70-200 f4 since they're in the same price range. The extra f stop is hard to pass up. It's a little heavy from what I'm use to, but I don't think it's that much heavier like some people are complaining about. I also picked up a 1.4x TC with it too so this should prove interesting. I buy my gear from d-d photographics. The lens are "grey import" and sure it's a little more expensive than ordering from HK/cheaper buying locally but atleast I don't have to worry about shipping issues/getting hit by tax etc.... warranty though is another story.

Mate did that before with his EXA. He spent the night sucking the water out with that VAX vacum cleaner... lol!

Supra Na, S2 R33 Na, R32 Gtst (2 Or 4door)
Silver-Arrowz replied to TRMN8R's topic in General Automotive Discussion
2 mates have NA supra's and they've got a bit of torque. Bad thing is every hoon wants to drag them because they think it's TT's. -
Do you have the Sigma 70-200mm lens? Got any pic samples? I'm keen on the lens. Thanks!

2006 F1 Melbourne Grand Prix
Silver-Arrowz replied to Beer Baron's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Well with Schuey gone it would leave Ferrari with some mega bucks to play with. And between Kimi and Juan, Jean Todt's always praising Kimi and trashing JPM. So you can guess who the red team will be eyeing out. Webber at Renault would be intersting. But don't forget that Toyota's drivers are also up for renegotioations at the end of this year. His options are looking alright. RBR also has DC on a year to year contract. DC's getting on a bit so he might be dropped. -
Merry Christmas people! Hopefully you've been good this year that Santa has a T88 kit in his sack just for you.

Lets face it, most people wouldn't give two hoots about tyres and would spend that money else where. I grew tired of arguing that same principle but they just don't get the idea. It's a piece of rubber that's black and little "bling" factor. Some people just grasp the concept that it's the only thing coming in contact with the surface.

I like the rear lights on it better. -
Do You Worry About Peak Oil?
Silver-Arrowz replied to CEF11E's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've read about the peak oil theory. It was back in the 60's that they surveyed the planet for all it's oil reserves. Many places couldn't be reached back then because it was too deep and other stuff, so as years went by they developed the technology to get to it. It's in the last 10 years that they haven't built an oil refinery because the cost is too much since oil companies already know how much oil is left. As usual the US government was told of the potential crisis back in the 60's and just like the ozone hole, prompty ignored. -

Vodafone dropped their sponsorship this year with Ferrari. Red Mclarens.... think Senna/Prost era. LOL! Even Alonso knows which team is the team of teams! haha! Toymotor *AHEM* Toyota has just also lost it's chief designer so he might be defecting to macca's since Newley's leaving. -
How do you guys afford such nice cars?!
Silver-Arrowz replied to Jaxe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Gee does this thread make me feel old. I remember reading this thread back on 03. Only advice I can give is don't max out your budget on a car and be realistic about it. You WILL go through tough times. I sold my GTR now and drive a toymotor. But the lifesyle I have now is a lot better. Before money use to fall into that endless money pit (the GTR) but now I invest heavily and have a few appartments in Sydney and Cairns. One day when I've got enough money assets behind me I'll buy that Porsche. BTW, is Prank still pimping? I want to get that Porsche sooner. -
I've managed to get some hot and sticky chuncks of tyre rubber onto my rims and I can't for the love of God get them off! My rims are white and I tried regular car wash soap, rim cleaners but it's made it worse my leaving black smudge here and there. Anyone know of anything to remove the crap without damaging the paint on the rims?

We're talking ARC, not WRC.

Sydney use to be the only place I'd ever consider living in. Now it's shit out of luck! Watching the city I grew up in turn to this makes me sad. What we have here is people from the lower end of the gene pool coming out and "mingling" if you will. I wonder if these maggots wonder how the rest of the world look at us now? Waving the Australian flag while beating up someone based on racial appearance. Sure you could blame the media for hyping it up, but lets take a closer look at the root of the problem; the d*ckheads from the lower end of the gene pool who gave them the opportunity hype it. Australians look at the yanks and think they're racist, etc.... now they look at us and think the same of us. My missus called up as soon as it popped up on TV. To even make it on the news in the US is no easy feat.

I've had the car since Feb this year and looking at the battery it looks rather old. Connectors look find and there is no corrosion though. Ill get another battery and hoprfully that'll be the end of that. Thanks all who replied!
-
I know my car isn't a skyline but I tried to start my car up this afternoon. I could hear the starter motor clicking but the crank wasn't turning over. It's just a ticking sound and nothing else. I got the rechargable starter pack and jump started the car after the second go. Is this just a weak battery? Or is it something else?

Mrs Silver-Arrowz loves to come on as my log in and read up about GTR's and make fun about how my toymotor is slower than GTR's. How such words can hurt my ego....
